2016 S63 AMG Tire Wear issues
My 2016 S63 current had 12,000 miles, but need to replace front tires set SECOND TIMES ALREADY,
That is meaning every 6000 miles I need to buy a new set of front tires , * alignment is checked and no other additional issues.
This is not the money issues , This is waste my a lot of time!
Very poor design !
First time feeling not happy with this car.

The photo is the second tire for my new S63 ( 12000 miles), That is meaning every 6000 mile I should change the two front tires, I did call Benz customer " care ", the answer is normal tire wear, I will pass my story to all my friends , family members through Wechat, Youtube , face book..... You need to deal this headache if You want to buy new S class !

If so and it is in spec, which I doubt, a lowering module or links (which make camber further negative) might actually prolong your tire life.
Also what inflation pressure are you running ? Increasing psi should shift some of the wear toward the middle of the tread, if it is on the low side the inner and outer tread will wear before the center.

Do point out that OEM there is only ‘Toe’ adjustment front (and rear)!
OK if vehicle maintained and driven at showroom height, but day to day commuting encountering high cambered roads, altering/lowering height, load carrying, suspension sag, fitting wide profile tires or curb knock damage – the feature of having front and rear “ongoing Camber adjustment” capability to change tire “contact angle” is essential. Along with front Caster to “correctly resolve” steering pull and improve brake and steering response.
We saw the need therefore to design, manufacture and reinstate from the early ‘90’s kits that provide precise adjustment (on car under load direct on alignment rack). Also replacing the 4 front and 4 rear highest wearing suspension bushings at the same time. Result is no more ongoing trips to dealers or alignment shops or constantly changing tire brands. Fixing it right….the 1st time!
For the front (only) you can purchase fluted bolts – but they are inaccurate having ONE ONLY OFFSET POSITION, providing 3mm (1/8”) which is a minimal 0.3 degree change. The K-MAC patented design allows up to 4 times the adjustment range and is “precise accurate single wrench” adjustable.
Rear kits also provide Camber (and additional rear Toe adjustment to compensate for the new Camber facility). Advantage of the K-MAC rear bush design compared to adjustable “Camber Arms” is that to resolve premature inner edge tire wear Camber arms need to move “top of tire” outwards, diminishing all important clearance to outer fender – K-MAC moves bottom arms inwards and easier access allowing to be adjusted also accurately (on car under load).
The front bushings are 2 axis/self aligning but without the oil and air voids of OEM. Result is noticeably improved brake and steering response. No modifications to fit – come with instructions and extraction/insertion tubes (Rear Camber can be fitted on vehicle).
Also manufactured is a full set of 12 replacement bushings for the 6 rear multi link arms. Providing significant improvement to rear end stability. Less flex/twitch especially when applying power lane changing/overtaking.

My friend in California had this problem
with his C217 coupe - twice - the OEM
tyres and the replacement tyres which
also came from the dealership
After replacing for the third time he took
the coupe to an alignment shop where they
said the numbers were too negative and the
tyre pressure was too low
1500 miles later the tyres are showing no wear
and the ride is much improved
Thank-You

I keep the front cold pressures in the 38-42 psi range, so this is not the result of underinflation.
I'm getting a new set of Michelin PS4 installed tomorrow, hopefully they will wear better.
There is much lighter and more even wear on the rear tires, they have plenty of life left but of course are getting replaced along with the fronts.
EDIT: This is what 8,000 looks like on the front and rear tires at the factory recommended psi; either 255/40-20 Conti 5P tires are crap and/or the recommended psi is insufficient.

The RACE START function is now also available in the S 63 4MATIC+ Coupé and Cabriolet (LHD) and the S 63 Coupé and Cabriolet (RHD). It features a new, significantly simpler control logic: In the "Sport" or "Sport+" driving modes, the driver only has to press hard on the brake pedal with their left foot while simultaneously mashing the accelerator pedal with their right foot. The on-board electronics will then set the optimum engine speed. Depending on the requirements or the road surface conditions, the engine speed can be increased or lowered in a certain range by operating the paddle shifters. If the driver now releases the brake pedal, the vehicle accelerates with optimal traction. The Coupé and Cabriolet are then able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Following the recommended pressure fairly closely.
