2017 S63 AMG Coupe 4matic
Sunroof not opening?
Hy guys,

i have the non/Magic Sky sunroof on my 17 Coupe and although it has all the buttons the glass is not opening, not even tilting.

Is this normal?

It is unfortunately designed as a fixed panorama roof, so it neither opens nor tilts. The buttons just open and close the sunshade.

I had a sales person at MB Plano trying to sell me a S coupe few years back and he went on and on about how the ride is awesome with the sunroof open.

Back in 2015-2016 I couldn't understand why Mercedes designed it as a fixed pano roof... and then they introduced the cabriolet at a ~ $12k premium. Sucks for those like me who want a roof that can open (at least tilt for ventilation in the summer) but don't want a full convertible

I agree. I don't want a convertible and would have liked the roof to open. This time around I ordered magic sky control on the 2018 Coupe.
