C217 MY17 Upgrades
I'm currently working with Avalon King products and I've been very happy with the results. It's even easier than applying wax, and it lasts at least a year if not longer.
Look into it for keeping your ride uber clean.

how much did it cost you and did you do it through the dealer or an independent shop?

"As far as I know, MB dealers will not do the upgrade to vehicles that never had the CCB as an option."
This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
WOW - the car looks incredible -
Have you thought about removing the emblems on the boot lid -
It gives it a very clean look - more so with the car being white -
Again - you made a great choice going with the CCB's -
I know you are smiling -
Thank-You

1) Ben installed the driver side AMG heel support from DB. It looks GREAT and it is functional too. I find it more comfortable than the OEM carpet. It makes the coupe look even better, and fits well with the added comfort of the beautiful foot stools (one passenger side for my wife; two special small ones for the rear seats). Thank you DB (yet again)
2) Latest upgrade was the LoMo2 lowering module which was installed by COLE from CAR TOYS BELLEVUE. Cole did a great job and the LoMo has +8 and -8 settings. The guys at LoMo were very helpful when it came to getting the install done. Check their site on http://loweringmodule.com . The picture is on setting 0. Note: Coupe needs to be in Park to adjust the settings. Front/Rear setting as well as module on/off are controlled from steering wheel.
3) Some pictures of the Yellow calipers which do indeed look better than red :-) but not as the one Tal, DB, and I love most which arrived at our favorite MB dealer @ Lynnwood because Garrett is always awesome to work with!
4) After the CCB install we are off to Joey and Ben at Eastside for the ceramic coating.
Looking great in cold foggy WA weather
Yellow is nicer than red (DB right again)
We love the new wheels from David (theweb) and the custom AMG inserts
These arrived at our dealer from DE, look better than yellow, and will go on in a couple of weeks
The heel support needs a picture to do it justice. Functional and handsome. I'll need to clean it after getting some snow on it. I'll take one next week and share.
As for the source -- the only thing I know and find salient is that it was a gift from DB -- which made it priceless and very special. It complements the foot rest which DB also gifted for my wife and she loves it. It makes a great ride into a perfect ride.
Visually, both add elegance and a unique look element to the coupe.
CCB, XPEL, and Modesta (on the coupe and wheels), with custom wheels from David N. (@thewb)

The heel pad/rest that Dan is referring to is an item
that I picked-up about 6 years ago -
I came across them in a Euro parts store
and purchased all they had - 7 in total -
I think they were about $25.00 each -
I gave Dan one for his COUPE and one
for his wife's GLE SUV -
They were a quick install by Ben at EAS
in Bellevue -
Functional and good looking with the AMG logo
they add a nice finishing touch with black floor mats -
I should have one for Dan's new COUPE once it arrives
and goes to EAS / Mr. Tint & Sun for Rudy Ben and Joey
to work their magic -
I will try to have Ben take a picture that can be posted -
Thank-You

What is the name and location of the dealer that told you they
could not and would not install CCB's on your Coupe -
This is one of my biggest complaints ( if not the biggest)
regarding Mercedes dealerships -
There are too many dealerships with SA's and even mechanics
who don't know WTF they are talking about -
If they don't know or don't understand your question the stock answer
becomes " It can't be done " rather than doing the necessary research
needed to answer the your question(s) -
This problem is not specific to CCB's -
Most SA's have no idea why the rear rotors on the Coupe wear faster
than the fronts saying that's just the way it is -
It is because of Mercedes EBS keeping the Coupe level under
braking especially under hard braking - i.e. no nose dive -
I could list other examples but the bottom line is don't believe
everything your SA tells you -
This sub-forum is your best source of knowledge for your Coupe -
There are members of this sub-forum who have been lied to
by SA's regarding the workings of their Coupe - read the threads -
Mercedes needs more training / education / knowledge for its
employees which in turn would make the customers service
experience what it should be for a $200k+ work of art -
That is why Dan only uses Lynnwood Mercedes for his trio of
AMG Stallions -
He wants to know the details of what is being done by people
who pay attention to detail -

Anyway, I don't deal with service advisors unless I'm on a trip and away from my preferred dealer, I deal directly with the service manager. Last year he referred me to the parts manager to look into the CCB upgrade.
This was his response:
Thanks,
Craig Garabedian
Parts Director
Thanks,
Charlie

This was his response:
I would only be able to offer you what came on your vehicle from the factory, we also would hate to void out your factory warranty by changing out parts that were not vin specified to your vehicle and also parts are looked up by your specific vin as far as application and fitment along with safety. There are aftermarket companies that will do the swap out but again I caution you it may void out any factory warranty repairs to the braking system in the future.
Thanks,
Craig Garabedian
Parts Director
"deal with the service manager" - your service manager is an idiot
and most likely an Aqua Velva if it took him 4 years to straighten
out the Swarovski issue - and he was complicit in the mis-information
provided to you as to the CCB's --- is he your brother-in-law...
And the "Parts Director" Craig's email response proves what an
idiot / Aqua Velva he is - his response to the CCB's is out and out wrong -
And after all your time / effort and emails dealing with your "service manager"
and the "Parts Director" regarding the the Swarovski issue and the
CCB's issue in the last 4 years they are only going to give you 10% off -
I would be contacting MBNA regarding these matters and then start looking for
a new dealership -
And to all members of this sub-forum please stay safe from the Covid by doing
what you need to do - wash your hands wear a mask and tell your wife / girlfriend
that you love her -
Unfortunately you are not all like Keith Richards:
Thank-You

2) This SM had NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with headlamp debacle. I hadn't even been to this dealer before that got solved.
3) Had I pressed the issue after Craig's idiotic boilerplate "go **** yourself" answer, I woul've gotten it done, but at the time I was still on the fence.
4) This dealership is one of 20 Herb Chambers establishments. NONE of them discount parts, EVER. In fact, they charge list++ as standard HC policy. So, I'm satisfied with a TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR discount.
after reading the thread I’d say 1) I agree with DB and 2) since you travel I would highly recommend Mercedes of Lynnwood. They are experts, honest, and their GM who got me the last worth owning 2020 coupe is outstanding!! I would never trust anyone else to work on my AMG.
