C217 MY17 Upgrades
That attitude will get you nowhere. It also gives the coupe owners a bad reputation. You ought to be kind and wiser than the arrogant A class owners I see and smoke on the road.
The more respectable you will be, the more the dealership will do their best for you. There aren’t many coupe owners. We have the best coupe. We should behave accordingly because we can afford to.
and yes, I will get the VIV after work, but know the dealership has much more overhead than the cost.

after reading the thread I’d say 1) I agree with DB and 2) since you travel I would highly recommend Mercedes of Lynnwood. They are experts, honest, and their GM who got me the last worth owning 2020 coupe is outstanding!! I would never trust anyone else to work on my AMG.

Charlie (the SM at my preferred dealer) has spoken at length with his counterpart at MB Lynnwood about the upgrades that were done for you. Your SM was very forthcoming and helpful.
MBUSA has approved the CCB upgrade to be done at MB of Natick MA where I absolutely trust the shop foreman, Blaine, to do a perfect job as he always does. The parts have been ordered.
It makes absolutely no sense to travel 6000+ miles during a pandemic to spend way more money at a dealership I've never been to!
Thanks for offering your VIN, but they don't need it anymore.

I know a few folks who prefer to drive rather than fly in these hard times. I assumed you travelled for your job.
Also ask for pictures of the installation. They are worth having. And, don’t blow up so quickly. People here try to help. No charge and lots of good humor. It is a small community. No need to get upset.
Enjoy you handsome Coupe and stay safe. It’s one nasty virus that is hard to get rid off, and it has very bad side effects that linger after COVID-19 dies—liver, kidneys, and lungs. So stay healthy and enjoy the upgrade!

I'm just wondering what your opinion is on the wheels I chose for this project. (The original 10 spokes are 19's).
Also, if you'd like a morph of your upgrade, just post a pic or link me to one of the right side before the CCB's.
Be safe.
Steve
For wheels, Both coupes came with the same wheel in 19". I later upgraded the wheels and tires and have been very happy. I got the wheels and tires from David at the Wheels Boutique.
- Summer Tires: both coupes have the Pilot Sport 4S
- Winter tires: Both coupes have the Pilot Alpin PA4
- Wheels on MY 17 are Vorsteiner Wheels with a bit of built in spacers.
- Wheels for MY 20 are HRE P103
- All the wheels and tires are from David at the https://wheelsboutique.com
Vorsteiner Wheels
HRE P103
HRE on the 2020
the MY 17 with winter tires and cool scurf :-)

IMHO, MB ruined the front with the panamericana grille. It makes the car look like a Buick. The single crossbar is far "tougher" looking.
I don't drive mine in the winter. I have a MY17 Escalade Platinum for that, but I'm toying with the idea of swapping it for a G63.

Congrats again on a very beautiful coupe and soon on the best breaks in the world (BTW the color is awesome on the coupe, especially your color)

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I couldn't agree more!
That said to each his/her. The Coupe is a marvelous work of art any way you look at it. And it is a collectable now that MB-AMG stopped making them. A damn foolish thing to do, in a damn foolish way.
@S63C4 You'll love the 20" wheels. I highly recommend you check out the @thewb (https://wheelsboutique.com/) and see what David has. I prefer the HRE P103 in polished clear for the MY20 and the Vorsteiner’s on the MY17 - both with built-in spacers.
Enjoy it and have tons of fun with your beauty!

I don't see it as a "debate".
Simply, different tastes for different design elements.
Now if we want a debate, we can discuss the engine differences between the MY'17 and the later years.
I think it was wise for you to keep the '17. I did too, but mine is the rag top.
As a footnote before you start the debate I am guessing that
you as well as most other members of this sub-forum have
no idea as to what upgrades Dan has done to the engine of
his MY20 Coupe -
It is a monster -
It will eat a stock MY17 28 hours a day 8 days a week -
Thank-You

I did not say anything about you challenging anyone to a race -
You stated that you wanted to debate your MY17 engine
vs. his MY20 Coupe's engine -
I would take his engine over yours any day of the week -
It would be a very one sided debate -

I will be doing the installation myself. Hopefully I don’t run into any snafu’s that require the MB Star diagnostics tool.
Wish me luck!!!
