2020 S63 Coupe w/ AMG Drive Unit buttons, retrofit 773 exterior carbon fiber
So far I have to say, this car is pretty amazing! No regrets about upgrading my 2015. The new drivetrain is awesome, the exhaust is bad ***, and the materials and assembly quality is stellar. Car spent a week at the dealer getting the factory paint perfect and installation of PPF and tint, and installation of carbon mirror bowls. It goes back next week for ceramic coat, which will take 2-3 days, and installation of some exterior carbon fiber pieces.
For those who might want to retrofit the exterior carbon fiber, you can do it for about $3000 minus the engine cover:
Buy OEM splitter and diffuser, cost about $2200-2300 for both delivered, from various dealerships that discount parts online.
Buy aftermarket mirror bowls with exterior carbon fiber application, cost about $200 delivered. OEM ones are more than 10x the cost and not worth it.
Buy aftermarket rocker panel inserts cost about $550 delivered. OEM ones are more than 6x the cost and not worth it.
Note: These aftermarket mirror bowls appear to be OEM plastic bowls with LED light installed, to which exterior carbon fiber is applied. They look good. However, I believe the direction of the carbon grain is off from the OEM, and there is a very thin section of the mirror assembly that the bowl does not cover. So OEM might be worth buying if you find a nice deal on a pair, at the new price even with discount they are way too expensive.
Here are some pics I took this evening, will get exterior shorts one the ceramic coat is done and the exterior carbon is installed.

Well I was certainly pleased it had Michelin instead of Continental or Pirelli. They are the Pilot Sport 3, which I've never had before. I replaced the OEM Continentals with the Pilot Sport 4S on my 2015, which I liked a lot. I'm not sure of the difference between PS3 & PS4S but assume the PS4S are better, being newer. When I need new tires will get the 4S.

Same here. Really like them so far. Will keep them until they wear out.

Heisenberg what are you using to secure the tablet?
Looks great! BTW, the trickle charger has to be ordered seperately (too expensive of course, but small money compared to the rest of the car).

Did the same on my pre facelift S63, and the difference between the PS3 and the PS4S was so big (improvement), I decided now to take the PS4S from the start (made good deal with the dealer about this). Additional advantage: no crazy noise when making corners on a cold morning......... (the PS3 are "famous" for that on some MB cars).

OEM rear diffuser and front splitter in carbon fiber have arrived intact, these came promptly and nicely packed from the Corpus Christi, TX dealership (Ed Hicks) that sells parts online at a nice discount (>30%), no sales tax either if outside of TX. Very easy online ordering and no hassles - check them out if you need parts, my local dealer didn't offer any substantive discount so I looked elsewhere and glad I did.
Part#s for any in the future who might be interested:
Aftermarket carbon fiber rocker panel inserts will be delivered tomorrow, these were shipped from China about two weeks ago and just cleared customs today. All will go to detailer for PPF then installed 2nd week of February - I think the installation is pretty straightforward for these exterior pieces, unlike the interior trim.
I might order the S65 grille inserts and exhaust tips too, just to change it up
We look forward to the install pictures. Two unrelated questions. How did you mount the tablet? and do you use a mount for your phone, I cant find one I like.

It's not mounted, rather it rests between the dash and center console. I attached small clear bumpers on the back - one at the top center to rest against the leather on the ashtray drawer and two along the outer bottom to contact the edges of the cupholder recess, which keep it from sliding left or right when turning. The 2018+ cars have 12v outlet right in the cupholder area, I use a QC3.0 adapter which keeps it fully charged even if streaming video, running Waze or Google Maps, etc. A 180 degree/U-turn cable keeps the cord hidden. First three pictures show how it is set up.
I used a Kenu Airframe Wireless Qi vent mount for my iPhone in my 2015 (last photo) which worked well, it was the best option I found and was fairly clean with the wire running to the ashtray 12v. With the ubiquitous black interior it would be essentially stealth. It's kind of pricey but build quality is way better than the cheaper ones, and it holds onto the vent well unlike many. I'm no longer using it since the 2020 has a wireless charging pad in the center console, going to list it for sale in the marketplace if anyone wants it for their car.
I've always used Kuda mounts in the past but am not particularly fond of their mount for the W222/C217, and it's only available in black so doesn't integrate well with my crystal grey interior.
Great to see you are a fan of RBR AMG video's too!
BTW, mounted my (smaller) 8 inch tablet in the same spot, just fits on the center box (when opened).

That’s awesome. You guys invented a new creative and useful upgrade. Well done!
Hello
May I ask the AMG drive unit is a factory option or you bought a aftermarket steering wheel ? Because in Canada they dont have that option for S class, checked every 2020 s63 for sale, none of them has it. And about the carbon fiber parts, do they have a website so I can check it out?

thank you
It was a factory option in USA, for 2020 only. Also my dealer said it could not be added to a configured build without it. He had to trade a CA dealer for an allocation that had that option, and we were then able to change it to my preferred colors and options. Only a few of the 2020 cars he had in the system had the AMG drive unit pre-configured, and it was incompatible with the popular warmth and comfort package because of the heated steering wheel. So it probably will be a relatively rare option for the S63, with minority of 2020 production having it - I have seen very, very few with it.
I ordered the side skirts and mirror bowls off Ebay. Lots of sellers have the mirror bowls, the good ones run around $200 for the pair. The side skirt maker has other C217 carbon items on their website, quality is good and pattern/finish matches OEM nicely. Their prices are found on their Ebay store.
Thank you so much for the reply I am going ask my dealer if my 2019 can install it, if so i need to order one ! and by the way whats their ebay account name? i cannot find it in their website, thanks
