2020 Thank you MB Lynnwood & GM Stefan for unreal experience
We got the coupe we wanted so much, after AMG canceled our December '19 order, and cut the 2020 production line, thanks to unbelievable efforts and deeds from Stefan, the GM of MB Lynnwood. I actually gave up on getting one after a long set of escalations. A rumor of a possible limited run in 2021 wasn't worth betting on given the MB unpredictable mid production cut, my frustrating running around, and other options beginning to show up. But, sometimes things work out for the better because good people step in to help. So this thread is about thanking the good people who made the impossible possible.
The Dealership: I wanted to share my appreciation the only WA dealership I trust my AMGs with. Even more so to share my deepappreciation to Stefan for being the only person the planet who was able to get us a new 2020 coupe by going above and beyond (as in orders of magnitude above and beyond)!
The Person: Stefan, the General Manager, has pulled nothing short of pure magic. He far surpassed any expectations I have had. I actually gave up on AMG, consulted with DB on narrowing options, got saved by him before making a mistake :-), and waited for the Roma and new Aston to go on the market. It was the only option left after months of running around in circles, and not being to find a coupe that met our needs.
How to get a none existent coupe: I don't really know why Stefan persisted, how he succeeded, but I do know he went far above what anyone in has place would have done. My respect for him skyrocketed. Without sharing specifics, he was just awesome. And in short, the outcome is we have our 3rd AMG, a new 2020 S63 Coupe that is properly configured and an awesome dealership to keep working with to take care care of our AMGs and upgrade Roo in future. Maybe a worthy coupe should AMG build one in future. Now I have 3 fun years to wait.
The Key players who are making an excellent coupe perfect:
Thank you everyone who helped!
- D.B and his awesome advice, guidance and insight for beauty - it pays to listen to him early :-)
- Stefan for his magic act and outstanding experience (MBLynnwood) - without Stefan we would have no coupe - only deep resentment toward AMG and the way they killed the best flagship on the market.
- Garrett at MB Lynnwood for driving all the MB upgrades and always paying attention to detail and doing awesome work on all our AMGs. He's the best at what he done!
- David Nussbaum (wheelsboutique.com/) the one of a kind David who helped us customize all 3 AMGs and who's an awesome person.
- Ben, Joey, Rudy our 'go to guys' (EastSide AutoSalon; Mr. Sun & Tint),
- Cole (cool gadgets and H&R Spacers),
- TBD Shardul for air filters + new item, after his awesome assistance with our current coupe.
- Anyone else? Sorry if I forgot anyone. When everyone is done customizing this handsome S63 Coupe over the next 4 weeks or so, it will be even more amazing.
So to close at beginning--Thank you MB Lynnwood and especially Stefan! What you've done for us is nothing short of a new level of excellence! You're the best!

Yes, they did. We looked at the 6 or so C217 options in the US and on the assembly line in DE with DB. They were all very lacking. It was then that I gave up on getting one. I have no clue how Stefan got this coupe which just lacked a few things (e.g. magic sky) but had all my key packages + night vision. It'll be great. My guess is it just got off the production line, or arrived at the VPC and didn't show up. Whatever it was, he ordered it when he saw it. Coupe has 13 miles on it and shipped directly to MB Lynnwood the day before we came in.
I want about 30mm which will get the look I want and won't interfere with high speed. I didn't give David the size (my bad) and he built in ones that are (I think) 10mm and 14mm, or something like that. He did an awesome job like always, despite my "help", and now I can play around with H&R to add more space.

Whatever the final cost is, it will be worth it - the car is amazing. And no big deal on the MagicSky, that is really the least useful of all the options. Only thing it really adds is the ability to make the roof entirely transparent, instead of always having the tinted glass. Here in AZ I either would want the glass tinted or completely opaque with the sliding screen in place, so even at the very fair price of $2,500 I didn't opt for it.
Stefan is being very helpful and my primary goal is to give this coupe everything it deserves. Your posts were big contributors to my motivation to keep going and fighting windmills till Stefan went all in. So, thank you for that too!
yes, it has the carbon fiber and aerodynamic packed. Also the night styling I preferred not to have. But with the carbon fiber it’s really minor.
Lynnwood and Garrett our doing an awesome job, and keep sending us pics. I think the OEM part will be done by end of month. Then 2-3 weeks and I will share the final artwork.
thank you again, Dan

Regarding the Swarovski headlamps -
The initial E-mail estimate was listed as somewhere
around 8k for parts plus labor -
Even with a fair amount of the 18 in me I was
beyond shocked when I first read it -
As in "Get a Rope" -
I outlined the actual cost of parts and labor and
Stefan quickly moved to make the price adjustment
once Dan asked for clarification - putting the price at cost -
The CCB's / install will also be at cost -
Attention to detail and done right -
A work of art -
Thank-You
D.B.

What do you plan to do with the original wheels/tires set?
I wish the "outside world" was more like you. The world would be a far better place with more people like you!
Bet regards,
Dan
And I think with the carbon fiber packages the car looks much better without the night styling. I'd only opt for that on a car without the exterior carbon fiber.
I just had the exterior carbon fiber parts installed on mine, will post up some pics in another thread. My car is now complete!
spot on about night styling but can’t take it off
PS - Make sure to get the dealer to rework the original window sticker to reflect the substantial factory upgrades, that is something they should be wiling to do for you.
