Question: Installing GT 63s wheels on S63 coupe

I would like to purchase GT63 21 inch wheels on my S63 coupe.

Original tires for the GT are 275/35/R21 front and 315/30/R21 rear. Those tires are too wide compared to S63 original specs. But they look amazing specially
rear tires.

I am wondering the front (275 wide) tires would fit on my car without any issues?
Can you advice me?

Thanks

Well, Im sure they wont fit. Im sure they have different offsets. You have to get the offsets first I know and then compare to the S wheels

I believe that most of AMG offsets fit on other AMG cars. I am concerned about the width of the tires

Unfortunately, the tires will rub against your finder like crazy and poke out like a sore thumb.

Stock OEM tires as you know are 255 front and 285 rear. You can do 265 front and 295 rear for a flush look and it will not rub, anything wider will not work.

S63 coupe wheels are 20x8.5 et39 and 20x9.5 et39
GT63s wheels are 21x10 et30 and 21x11.5 et30

They are about a inch too wide

Thanks for the advice. I will see if 255 front would fit on these wheels otherwise I'll go with 265 max

I've seen people installing 22 inches on the S class so I don't believe that the size of wheels will matter.

Hi. Based on technician advisement of the wheel specs for the GT63s, they will not fit your S63. You can not downsize the “tire” size from a set wheel spec. You can however up 1 size of the tires usually for a more aggressive stance, but not downsizing them.

I had 22” Adv1 as per attached and they are 265 front and 295 on the rear with same wheel spec of the OEM wheels except they are 22” wheels and tires. I hope this help.

Thanks for the reply and you got some great wheels.
do you face any issues when making a U-turn? Or taking rough turns in general?

And one last question if you don't mind.
Now let's say I got the GT63 wheels but before purchasing them , I will ask the seller to install tires with 265 width ( front ) and 295 (rear). If they tires fit on the wheels , will they fit comfortably on my S63?

Thanks again.

The Mercedes GT63 and S63 Coupe have totally different wheel fitments. Yes, you have seen some S63 Coupes use wider wheels & tires like the one we did below (21"x9.5" || 21"x12" with 265/30/21 || 325/25/21) however those specs were only able to be achieved when the HRE P204's were built with the correct offset. When you try to mismatch tires on factory wheels from a different Mercedes model you risk encountering multiple problems both mechanical and visual. The tires may hit the inner struts or fender liners. The tires will also fit on the wheels different front & rear causing a funky look. If you have any interest in purchasing aftermarket set of performance wheels that are specifically built to fit your S63 Coupe and the specs it requires give me a shout and I'll help you ever step of the way so that you acquire a perfect fitting set with no headaches.

Thank you, the Adv1 got allot of complements and I too really liked them. In general, there was no issues making u-turns or rough turns however I had low low profile tires on the Adv1 and the S63 being a very heavy car, I do make u-turns slow ( normal u turn speed ) and didn’t have any problems.

As for the GT63 wheel and tire fitment, I honestly would not even consider it, but I would check with your local Mercedes dealer or wheel experts like wheel boutique below.

Best of luck.

The horses are now in the barn, 2019 E63s
Great look on that car.

What custom wheel looks like the OEM cross-spoke units?

I wondered the same thing about using the GT63 wheels on an E63 because they are mostly the same platform. I know the body panels on the GT63 accommodate the larger wheels and tires especially the rears but I was basically interested in fitting a 305 series tire in back. I've read on here from those that used a larger tire experience worse performance and went back to OEM sizes. I'm frequently reminded that AMG has tuned their cars to their maximum performance-to-risk limits.

I'm looking for staggered 20' in the front and 21 in the back for 2020 S63 Coupe and I like the Vossen HF6-G Gloss black. Is there a way to fit those on my car? hight for 20's would be 35 and the 21's would be 30 .. so like 275/35/20 front and 305/30/21 rear. Let me know please..

To run such a setup, it would require the wheels to be custom built to order so that the wheels can be manufactured with the correct width and offset to fit properly and avoid rubbing. Those wheels that you mentioned are not custom built to order. If you'd like to discuss custom wheels, send us a message ad we have hundreds of option that fit the bill.
