Night Vision assist Inop
Good Night ,need some assistance please.
When I press Night Vision button on my 2015 MB S63 coupe it says inop. Got a scan done .


Any assistance will be appreciated.
I live in The Bahamas ,Miami Dealer quoted me for two different cameras ,Not certain which one is needed if any .

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
dont even know if the camera is the problem. but the vin should show the correct part for your car, and only that one should work

S 63 Coupe, GLS 63
Needs further diagnosis. Those codes are inconclusive. 1 camera in windshield and 1 in grille. They require calibration after replacement that can only be done with an $8,000 Mercedes special tool. Will need to go to the dealership unfortunately.

Thanks for quick response ,the camera in the grill has a crack I will send pic . Not certain if that's the Night Vis Camera.

I think it might just be dirty, try cleaning it up, or use some light swirl remover on it, it looks all chipped up to me

I tried cleaning it with a brillo pad ,but nothing is working . Any ideas on how to take out ,don't want to mess up paint on car ?

dont use a brillo pad on anything. you made it worse.
you can try some swirl remover

dealer quoting me a camera for $1,648 and one for $4743. Not sure which camera to buy .

Tried the night vision last night immediately on start up, it worked for about 5 seconds then a spotlight inop came on .

yea, the lens is scratched up. it has to be polished.

If it were me, I’d deactivate it and be done. Unless you are getting a message,that you need to clear, every time you start the car or have a light on the dash, I wouldn’t worry about it. I’m thinking about putting black tape over mine and putting on the Panamerican GT style grille on without the camera slot.
