Car stall common
I had a 2012 CLS 63 that had several episodes like those described. One even occurred while I test drove it. And yes I still bought it. Subsequent occurrences never produced any documentable error messages on board despite sending it for evaluation. I now have an 2014 E63 which after one episode I suspected it related to the down shift idling and learned to not use the Eco function and it has never stalled out again since I did that. I suspect MB does not want to admit it exists, nor do they want to retrofix it.
