2015 S63 Lease
Hi guys,
I am looking to lease a 2015 S63 for 36 months with a msrp of 164K.
Best deal I was offered was 17k down and a monthly payment of $2,500 (including taxes).
I think the down payment is a bit high. What do you guys think?
What are most people paying on their S63 lease?
Thanks

Google around, do NOT put money down on a lease
Focus on what % you get off MSRP, the residual and your MF ... the rest is just math
Residual will depend on your annual mileage, MF buy rate is somewhere around 0.020-0.022 for an AMG (not as good as the 0.013 on the regular S)

$0 down on any lease
Wouldn't ever do >2yr lease
63s have well-known MCT lemon/POS jerky gearbox issues
65s have well-known engine fail/lemon issues (not yet solved despite a 10yo motor)
Integrity of dealer and one's relationship w/dealer likely changes any lemon process, so quibbling over discts over 2yr leases likely is irrelevant in big picture of tot cost of ownership/use if one's time is worth anything...oppty cost of time vastly outweighs trying to solve any glitches/lemon issues for anyone who can comfortably afford a >$175K commuter car, replaced every <2yo much like an iPhone

S65 AMG
I always lease with the following terms:
$0 down payment (Capitalized Cost Reduction)
3 years, 36K miles
and look for a the lowest monthly payment
As said above never put a down payment (or Cap Reduction) on a lease.

I don't think Leasing is any different than a finance deal, it's just a different structure with a built in buy it or leave it option.
The problem with Mercedes and most leases in general are the money factors are simply too high compared to 1% finance rates that are widely available.
