Weistec or Renntech tune for 2014 S63
Hello all, I currently have a 2014 S63 with Renntech down pipes and exhaust. I am looking to upgrade the ecu, does anyone have any recommendations on with company tune is better - Renntech or Weistec ?

If your dealer is anything like mine, they only sell Renntech products. They also stand behind there products, if anything ugly should happen. Most Mercedes Benz dealers that I know of, if they sell any tunes, they use Renntech. There are two dealers where I am, and both sell Renntech products. My dealer sells new and used cars already modded with some of Renntech's products.

So you didn’t get any warning lights with the DP and no tune ( ECU )?
Like Berry mentioned, I would go with Renntech because dealer’s that sells/allows performance tune will most likely be Renntech.

Thanks what I figured. So you been driving with the check engine light on or did you do something to bypass the light?
I would suggest going with the Renntech tune so you’ll know it’ll work hand in hand with the Renntech DP you’ve got on plus more dealers will turn a blide eye on the tune vs other tuners. Just a suggestion.
Got a Mercedes OEM +2018 W222 S63 front grille for sale. Brand new, never install if your interested. $1,300 including shipping. Dealer prices is $2,800.

If your state doesn’t have strict emission laws. You can always have the tuner turn off the o2 sensor option. That way you don’t have to drive around with that annoying CEL. I just had my car tuned for a stage 2 from a local tuner guy. And that was what he had mentioned to me if I ever decided to do DP in the future. You can also try and install a spark plug defouler. What it basically does is move the o2 sensor farther away from the DP and trick the o2 sensor thinking your stock cats are still there. I used that method on my previous turboed car, and that did the trick?

Renntech tune
I have a 2015 S550 4matic. I had the dealership put a renntech tune on my car at 40k miles what a huge difference in power. The power is huge from take off and all through the high end speed. The factory top speed was 130mph. With the tune I hit 139mph in 4th gear and hit 172mph and the car still had more in it. I also had to resonators cut off which added a little bit more power and gave it a little bit better sound.

Hey,
We just released our Hand Held Tuning Module for all the BiTurbo V8 engines. Official release coming soon.
With the module you don't need to remove your ECU and send it to us anymore. Simply plugs into your OBD2 port and flashes the ECU.
Can then be turned back to stock and tuned again as often as you like.
Also, we came down with the price

I would go with Renntech. I just purchased their upgraded tune for the CLS 550 that now comes with the hand held tuner. I experienced a misfire after initial install but after I changed the spark plugs and gapped them to 0.022 per Renntech advice, my car turned into a beast.
