Curious--how many miles do you have on the S63? Is this the first replacement?

replaced pads about a year ago with OEM. About 33k on the miles. Not sure I need rotors, but I am tired of all the brake dust.

I put Porterfield r4s pads on my s63. MUCH less dust, but they still make a mess. OEM or Girodisc is only option for rotors

Akebono makes dustless pads. I’ve used them on my previous vehicles. And literally eliminated at least 80% of brake dust. Will be using the same once these OEM pads are gone.

Got a source? Haven't seen them for this car. Also akebono pads feel like **** once installed... No initial bite

Can’t really find options for this model year...including those mentioned above.

Any experience with R1 pads?

Junk.

I put Porterfield on my S63 coupe. I'd have to look and see if they are different, not sure off hand

Just did MB brakes, front and rear, on mine @ 18,000 miles. Thankfully, didn't need rotors...I have searched EVERYWHERE, and could not find rotors, other than OEM. I use Girodiscs on my Cup car...... would love a option......any suggestions would be great! Thankx in advance for your help.

Ordered girodisc magic pads front and back - see part numbers below - will report back.

Hope i do not need rotors yet.

People seem to get a ton of miles on their rotors.

MY17 S63AMG - MBUSA Buyback. MY16 SL63 - Sold MY19 W213 E63s. 2020 W213 E63s Wagon
Worldmotosport and Craig installed the Girodisk 2 piece rotors and Rado brake pads are the best. Had it on my E63s, the stopping power on the pads were great, very low Brake dusk.

FYI. Just had MB dealer replace front and rear pads on ‘19 S63 at 19,000 miles for the 1st time without a need for rotors. Front pads/parts etc ($388.97) + labor ($159.54) totaled $548.51 while rear pads/parts, etc ($450.51) + labor ($159.54) totaled $610.05. Grand total parts/labor for front and rear pads was $1158.56.

Appreciate the intel...so for comparison at my local CA dealership they charge about 200/hour labor. They charged 2 hours total for front and rear pad installation. My grand total with the girodisc pads came to about $870.

See my above post with part numbers for 2018. Email them directly with VIN to verify fit. Brake pad wear sensors were included.

If you can DIY, this is super easy to do. I just replaced the rear rotors on my s63 with brembo and oem pads for just under ~$400 total. Quite a bit less than the 4200 dealer wanted (though that would have been oem rotors). Took me less than an hour for both sides - 3 bolts on each side (2 holding the brake caliper and 1 holding the rotor).

What did you end up doing for the front rotors? because I've been told that the Brembo 09931333 from the AMG GT S should fit the front of the S63, and they go for around $780 for the PAIR of fronts.

I didn't do the front yet as they were fine. Not sure why this car likes to eat rear rotors faster than front. I don't know whether those brembo rotors will fit but I recall when I looked for an afermarket solution that was about the right price. If I figure it out, ill post here.

2014 s63 AMG.
Here is a new S63 AMG rotor. I need back ones soon ,so for 1200 with pads and sensor And rotors it’s half price, my concern is performance and warranty, I could see it ,my rear diff goes and it was the rotor that did it. Has anyone used these or have thoughts? Couldn’t find much about them.
