Apps & Internet radio Data Connection Unavailable / Page Requested Cannot be loaded
Recently purchased a 2017 S63AMG. Completed the Mbrace service activation. First I was unable to access the mercedes benz apps all together with a "Data Connection Unavailable" error.
A week long service at my local dealer and multiple calls to mbrace resulted in my internet radio and apps finally working.
However it only works one out of 20 times or so. The other 19 times I am getting either a blank screen when trying to select any connected feature or eventually getting "The page requested cannot be loaded" or the famous "Data Connection Unavailable" error message.
I live in So Cal, my car usually shows 3-4 bars of AT&T network connection and yellow communication arrows, so it is unlikely to be a cellular issue.
Has anyone else seen this and managed to resolve the issue?

Are various systems on your vehicle up to date. When ever I take my 2016 S63 in for service, I have them check and see if everything is up to date. Computer wise. They can do a computer reflash. That's what we call it at Lexus. Where they can down load the latest and greatest program. I thought I read about a service bulletin regarding something of this nature. It may not hurt to ask them.

Good point Barry, the car so far spent 10 days with the dealer and they have "multiple tickets" open with Mbrace.
At some point I hope they figure this out. I don't believe that every Mercedes owner just gives up on these features.

After 2 weeks of service I got the car back. The apps and internet radio connection is now working a little better. I still get a lot of Data Connection Unavailable error messages but after 4-5 attempts it usually works.
Once it's working it seems to be pretty solid and many internet radio channels feature 256kbps and better stream that sounds significantly better than SiriusXM.

Good it kind of works now. Don't know if this is the same in your area, but I had some problems using Internet Radio also, but only when starting Internet Radio from the MB Apps menu!
When choosing "normal" FM radio, and then in the menu on the right select Radio/Source (or similar), you can select DAB, AM, FM and......Internet Radio. and the this works perfectly up till now! (here TuneIN is used as the preconfigured Internet Radio source).

We don't have SiruisXM here, but DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast), as replacement for analogue FM somewhere in the future. But there also the Internet Radio option is shown.
Is MY19 car, with COMAND NTG 5*5.

Still an issue 2022
This is still an issue. Purchased a GLS580 4-21 and they have not been able to make the Tune-In radio work. Typical dealer tries to blame the owner (wrong data plan, wrong settings, etc) but I have the TeleKom unlimited plan and the dealer admits all internet/radio setting are correct. For a few month there was no internet at all but a recent update fixed that. Now they are saying that MB no longer supports TeleKom and I have to pay for a new T-Mobile plan. When I call T-M they say TeleKom is a subsidiary and IS supported. MB customer service line totally useless ('We will forward it to our tier2 department") and refuses to call back on the issue.
