What is this noise :-(
Hello all,
(S63L W222 (2016) AMG with M157 engine) - 50k Miles
I'm getting this noise when I heavily accelerate or lets just say put my foot down in 1st gear
No issues with power or performance, Star Xentry showing nothing.
But noise is quite loud, it comes and goes I think.
Any help would be appreciated as the Mercedes technicians here in the UK play a lot of guess games and I would rather point them in an area they can look as my car has gone in to dealers now.

But it makes that sound normally when the transmission shifts. So if it does that when shifting, or anytime you lift off the accelerator pedal, it's totally normal.

222 S-65
When I’m hammering on it it is easy to pick out when the wastegates are open to regulate boost pressure. Very distinct noise.
The 221 S-65 made same noise.
Never hear the bypass valves. V-12 intake too quiet.
