2015 S63 AMG
First AMG -

Hey everyone - just recently picked up my (new to me) '15 S63 in Designo White. Slightly higher on the odometer (69k) than I would have liked but just couldn't pass it up. I've been searching since the beginning of the pandemic and uncharacteristically waited 2+ years before I found the exact spec, options, wheel, and history.

I'm in North Texas if anyone is local - haven't really found an AMG club here.

I should point out this is my first AMG - recently sold my e93 M3.

Hardwired my radar and added the GTA car kits wireless Carplay module.

Does the community have any recommendations on intake/downpipe combos? I'm keen on Weistec but I feel like the name is gouging the price a bit. Has anyone had experience with Black Boost?

TIA!

Yes, i've turned a hobby into a bit of an obsession.

Very nice. We match on the exterior color. As for some of your mod questions. I have the following. 2016 S63 4matic around 56,000 miles. Eurocharged ECU stage 2 tune, Eurocharged TCU stage 1 tune, Renntech diverter valve, Renntech down pipes with high flow catalysts, Renntech sport mufflers with built in electronic valves, Blackboost cold air intakes, Weistec transmission pan, Weistec billet oil filter cap, Spool Performance silicone intake pipes. I have had no issues with anything. No leaks, car runs strong and perfectly. No codes. I have not had a chance to get to a chassis dyno facility. Its appointment only and only during the weekdays. I honestly do not think many people mod the S class. More people mod the C and E class. The S class is after all a 6,000lb luxury cruiser. It weighs as much as two Aventadors. Lol. Have fun with your new ride. Pedal to the metal.

That's...wild.

The E and the C class just didn't appeal to me and I know that will set some people off. C seemingly served more function and fun but the E just didn't tickle.

A note on Eurocharged - so their new TX location just opened about a mile away from me, completely surprised. I got a chance to attend their car show/open house and everything looks extremely promising. I'd like to get some maintenance items out of the way first, most importantly is servicing the trans as I just want piece of mind.

I used FCP for nearly all online orders on the Bimmer because their guarantee/warranty is unmatched and luckily they do carry a wide variety of MB AMG bits.

Has anyone hone with the liquimoly trans package? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...-moly-7229late

Another Q - Thoughts on friction additives in the 722.9?

TIA

When I had the pan installed. I only use Mercedes authorized liquids. However, I use Amsoil 5W40 with a Mercedes oil filter. I used Eurocharged in Texas for my tunes. The TCU tune was done remotely from home in my garage. Just had to schedule a day, I called them, and we got it handled on a Saturday I believe.

Congrats OP. First hit of AMG crack is free! (The test drive) Now you are hooked.

RE placement of your radar detector.... there is a spot in the windshield that does not block radio waves... just to left of rear view mirror. Your detector will be more effective placed there.

Enjoy!

Thanks!

Radar - Yea I saw that but I've gotta say, the location allowed for not only easy wiring (panel fusebox) but I'm kind of digging it being in my FOV in relation to the HUD. So far, it's been working accurately and saved my *** numerous times.

Congrats on the car man and I’m also in North Texas maybe we can hang out at a cars and coffee sometime. I know there’s an amg club but they don’t seem very active.

It is not 6k LBS! LOL! S63 curb weight is only about 4600. And FYI an Aventador is about 3650.
