Editing this post. Was originally about asking advice about ally major guard (warranty) but it appears these extended warranty threads are all over the forums and we dont need me adding another!

I dont know why it took me so long to get one of these monsters. Im a die hard mb and porsche guy but am hard wired to love the old stuff. Prior to this purchase i have been in love with my low mile 1985 300d and my 200k mile 300sdl. They are simple and will outlive us all. I think the opposite of the new to me 63

Went to the dealer i bought it from yesterday and chatted with the super nice service advisor. I had the vmi from when i bought the car but didnt really know how to read it. She said the previous owner over maintained it.. and replaced rotors and pads at 90k at a cost of 10k (oof). He only traded it in bc he bought a 2025 s63.

AMG Crack... First hit is free. Now you are hooked. The way the car GOES.... How they seemingly cheat physics through the turns.... Interior finishes....

a buddy had a this car when new… and it was more amazing then than it is now… but my allergy to depreciation prevented me from partaking myself.

Now that they are cheap as chips… i could no longer resist. It has so much tech that could go wrong. I keep my wife and kids in new cars… but for me.. my next newest is a 14 land cruiser (not much tech there)… an 07 gt3rs… pretty low tech there… and then we gap down to air cooled 911s and old oiler burner mercs!

this could be the start of a trend for me of loving modern amg… but i hope my bottom fishing doesnt crush my spirit. I am reminded that nightmares are dreams too!!!
