Hey guys! C63s coupe owner and potential GT four door buyer here. Thought I'd chip in and share this as I've been looking forward to the GT sedan since the concept was unveiled last year. Saw this on my phone and had to screenshot. Leaked official render of the four door GT, seems to be the more aggressive (perhaps an Edition 1) looking variant that was seen testing with the fixed rear wing
The more I see the more I like. This car does a lot more for me than the softer styled e63S, which was floaty at COTA. It will be interesting to see comparisons of two in next 6 months.

AMG GT doesn’t really look a whole lot like the iconic GT sports car. But it’s growing on me. I think I’ll still go for the BMW M8 Gran Coupé instead for my next daily driver.

I agree 1st gen wasn’t the prettiest car to drive the autobahn. But the Panamera has been a huge success for Porsche AG. At one time it was the brands second best seller behind the Cayenne until the introduction of the semi affordable Macan model. The Panamera and Cayenne are cash cows, they help compensate for brands slower sellers like the Cayman and 911.

I understand their significance. But that doesn't change the nature of the product. Unless we are arguing that popularity equals taste.

And where’s the hot version?
Your looking at it, the hot 63S variation comes with 630hp and 627lb-ft. The fixed rear wing is part of a optional package which includes a revised front carbon splitter. Otherwise it comes standard with the deployable rear spoiler. There is rumor that a 800hp “73” version will debut sometime later on, the “73” will use hybrid technology similarly to how Porsche does it on the sexy Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. Probably will cost a fortune to buy the 73, I presume upwards of $150k.

The new AMG GT-4 isn’t a ugly car in my opinion. It’s just not looking like a 4 door AMG GT. I guess the MRA platform had its limitations on how low they could sit the engine in the chassis. I wish the 4 door versions headlights looked more like the 2 door GT headlights. I think it’s will sell as the interior is very attractive and the overall it’s a handsome car. It’s interesting that BMW also debuted its replacement for the 6 series Gran Coupé today. The new 8 series GC has stolen my heart. Even though I love AMG far more than bmw M this 8 series 4 door is a winner in the looks department. If they are similarly priced I might pick up the bmw 8 when I finally decide to retire my current daily driver.

I mean they could start at a higher MSRP but based on the fact the the GT-4 63s is essentially replacing the CLS63S which starts at $108k and tops out at $133k. The RS7 starts at $113k the M6 GC $119k I’m guessing AMG will tax the GT-4 63 a little bit and have the base GT-4 63 start at around $120k before options. That leaves room for the $30k they will up charge us for the battery and electric motors. I say $155k for the base GT4-73 $175k loaded for the “73” ? You think they might try and charge us more the Panamera Turbo S E-HYBRID is more of a S-class competitor
