AMG GT63s upshift gear-change fart

Does anyone know why the new AMG GT 63S 4-Door does not snort or fart between gears on upshift under firm acceleration, as the GLC 63S and C63S models do?

I noticed that difference too between the GT53 and the GT63S. Only thing difference I know on paper between the 2 cars (GT 53 and GT63S) is the engine and possibly the exhaust.

Exhaust is an option, but the 4 wheel steering, and fixed tail wing.

Fixed tail wing is also an option, at least here in the US. Also the steering wheel has no option to add the fancy little displays.

I understood the extra knobs on the steering wheel can’t be included on the heated steering wheel option. I think the tail wing is standard on the 63, but is an option on the others. I’ve never been a fan of big tail fins, just a bit over the top for me.

You don't even get to pick the option for the extra knobs here in the US. I think there might be some laws preventing that I'm not sure. The tail wing is an option as the standard is the same across all GT sedan. The only option for tail wing here in the US is the carbon fiber version. Other wise it's the same as on the GT 53.

Hi all, can someone tell me If the GT53 has the option for the blacked out v8 front bumper that's on the 63/63s. when I look at GT53 reviews on youtube some of them have that bumper. Is It region specific? When I ordered my GT53 from Helms brothers In NY they said It's not an option for the 53.

I notice this as well. When I see YouTube videos, I don’t hear fart/bang/crack when changing gears in GT63S compared to E63S. (or as loud as E63S)

is this true in real life experience?

I don't know about the GT63/S, but for the GT 53, the snort/fart/bang/crack does not happen unless the engine is in Dynamic mode, and the exhaust is on "powerful". You might get good rumble and occasional gurgle with the engine in "moderate" or "sports" mode, but Dynamic is necessary for the full effect. Very reliable deep snort at each upshift even if you are just accelerating somewhat firmly where the engine is upshifting between 3-4k RPM. 70% reliable bang/crack/pop when downshifting as you brake into a corner or manually shift into a lower gear and lift off the gas.

I have driven my GT63S more and noticed the snort is not the same as the 53. It's more of like a roar than a snort and there is some farting when braking and the gear downshifts. Alas I don't have the 53 anymore as it's replaced by the 63s
