2021 AMG GT 63S assembled 11November2020 stuck in Bremerhaven port
MBUSA confirms vehicle was ordered 1Oct20 and assembled 11Nov20 and is at port of Bremerhaven but their excuse for no delivery is “Covid”. Knowing that car carrier ships are loading cars for destination Baltimore, information is MB is shipping cars to build up for USA dealer stock and letting paid ordered vehicles sit in Bremerhaven. Any suggestions who to contact to get my built car shipped?

I don't know how it relates to US deliveries but all large engine Mercedes orders are pushed to next year to limit the penalty that MB has to pay for not meeting its emissions targets. That includes most AMG's, S-Class, etc.

Thank you for the logical response to my 2021 AMG GT 63S sitting in Bremerhaven since its assembly of 3 Nov. When questioned, MBUSA alibi response is...” due to Covid”. It must be a Barvarian thing to assume everybody is stupid but them....( and my dna is from Barvaria)

MBUSA -Atlanta still ...as of December 28th has zero info as to shipping of my paid for 2021 AMG GT 63S.
even communications sent to Ola Kallenius and AMG Philipp Schiemer and go un answered. What a sorry way to run a business and ruin a Daimler Mercedes reputation.

I wrote about this a little bit in the W213-forum. Guys from US had just now got their E63s loaded on boat(s) bound to US. I guess your car will be also.

What Wolfman is saying is whats happening. My car, E63S 2021, built on 27-11 has been sitting in cuxhaven since 02-12. I expect it to be shipped now first possible boat after new-year. When I confronted my dealer with this, he sort of confirmed my suspicion (I´m in sweden)

Ok I might have spoken too soon. I have full tracking on my ME app and my car is sitting at VPC in baltimore since 12/19. I keep getting message from my dealer that my car needs special transport and is next in line. Missed Christmas and new Year. Hope if shows up next week. My 63 GT has moved 0.6 miles since it's arrival and sitting unlocked in parking lot open in baltimore cold .

Worst delivery process I’ve ever had
Why did I ever decide to trade my 2017 Leipzig delivered Porsche Panamera Turbo in on this AMG GT 63S on October 1st. Yes did the Euro Delivery and Porsche driving school with my 3 sons in Leipzig then toured 2,000 miles thru CZ and Austria and Germany. Porsche made it the smoothest and best auto experience ever.... and now this mess with Daimler. Porsche offered All Season tires whereas Mercedes only has performance tires. Daimler just doesn’t get it. Was going to buy the Taycan but with full charge it only has 165 mile range an 2 speed trans.

With an order placed on Sept 28,2020, I assumed I would have the car in service befor
Yes.. I put too much faith in Daimler-Mercedes to assemble and ship/ process my car from Sept.28,2020 order placement so I could have the car in service by Dec. 31,2020. Since it only took 20 days from Porsche-Leipzig turn in until delivery at my dealer for the Porsche after a Euro Delivery of the Porsche, I thought that Daimler-Mercedes logistics could match or beat Porsche. I was wrong

Porsche is dealing with far fewer cars being shipped to America and I’m guessing that was pre-Covid... not making excuses for them but everything has been moving slower in Europe since October, when Covid spiked up there. The rules are pretty strict in Germany about being locked down and it has reduced the number of transporters being operated and activity at the ports. Hoping you enjoy the car when it arrives soon, they are sure nice.

Thank you for your information about my 2021 AMG GT 63S
Yes I am familiar with processing in Germany.. I am married to a wonderful German wife and business with CAT-Germany and Thyssen Krupp takes us to Germany 4 times/ year for family and business .
Knowing that Singelfingen-Stuttgart plant will re-open January 11 and my already built car will get inspected and shipped up to Bremen, I am resolved to wait thru February .... meanwhile my trusty GMC Denali will get me thru the ice and snow. Again.. I appreciate your comments

Update
Called the VPC in Baltimore and their reasoning behind the delay was the 2 week shutdown from the storm.
They are “playing catch-up” with deliveries and they realize that your car was one of the ones on the list. They have no ETA since they are waiting on truckers to pick up the vehicles first. Will update you again
My current vehicle lease is up on 21st of this month. Let's see do I own 4 cars any day or 3 only as max

Am really sorry to hear of the extended delays with your car but hope you will be happy once it's here. I am however a bit puzzled to hear that the car is already paid for. That removes any leverage you might have had. This couldn't have been originally an ED order?

Almost paid for...
Yes.. the 2021 AMG GT 63S almost paid for with the units traded in. Didn’t need any leverage with the dealer. I’ve bought many BMWs, Audis,Mercedes, Porsches from them.....they’ve done all they could.....but you’re correct I have no leverage... no leverage with Daimler-Mercedes-Stuttgart. They are in Supreme Control!

Placed Custom order
I am losing it. The dealer said they updated it with D30 VPC Delayed status today on my vehicle and claim that Baltimore has a-lot of delays. They are calling MBUSA to do anything and everything they can.
