MBUX retrofit for 2020 AMG GT 63
Anyone have any luck or experience retrofitting the infotainment system on their AMG GT 63 from the version they introduced in 21. I prevoiusly had a 21 AMG GT 63 (totalled, RIP) and now have a 2020 as a replacement - i thought they were identical (wrong), and the biggest difference so far I see is that the infotainment system is quite a bit out of date feature-wise and is also not touch screen.

I don't see how this can be done short of switching out the entire dash since the pre-2021 is not a touchscreen and the 2020 and older are not.....
I've never heard of MBUX being converted into a non-MBUX car.

all parts are original, the car is diesel, and i still can't sync scr module with ic177 and ezs. at worst I will remove the error from the software. But everything works perfectly, and all information and functions are available.

Not worth the upgrade, IMHO. MBUX 1.0 sucks.....
They fixed MBUX in the GLE refresh and it's a 100x better because it has the full screen Carplay and also has pop up windows so you can basically still go right to the radio even if you are on map view....it's all kind of there on one screen similar to how it is on MBUX 2.0 on the new S class, new C class, etc (just on the dual 12.3 inch screens as opposed to the tablet size of the new S and C).
However, MBUX 1.0 got the short end of the stick.....it was a poorly planned out system and they put all the fixes into 2.0 instead of allowing updates to the 1.0 like they should have.
They fixed MBUX in the GLE refresh and it's a 100x better because it has the full screen Carplay and also has pop up windows so you can basically still go right to the radio even if you are on map view....it's all kind of there on one screen similar to how it is on MBUX 2.0 on the new S class, new C class, etc (just on the dual 12.3 inch screens as opposed to the tablet size of the new S and C).

How were you able to do this and by who? Cost? Interested in doing this. With this upgrade, did you get apps like YouTube the way the latest MBUX has?

SO there are lots of things to change
The display cluster from none-touch to touch based
the NTG has to go from 5.5 to 6
Need the Display Module. I heard it called IC176 for the old to IC177 and if you have HUD, the NEW unit must have HUD which i think is the white LVDS connector.
Touch pad
and then need a harness to retrofit from NTG 5.5 to 6.
then you need to code all of it.. might require some major software updates
time consuming but not impossible. EleBest (here and youtube) has numerous videos of the before and after (no how to's regardless of what the title says) on W213 Pre FL to FL.

Nice job done. Only one little thing, You did not make it perfectly working bro, the issue is the milage shown is - - - - - -
I guess you installed 3rd party adaptor, which naturally got this issue, you can check with the supplier, they may have solution to get the Milage working.
check ours pure original solution with full screen wireless CarPlay.
