I need some thoughts about this....

So this guy has this video on YouTube that was just uploaded. He shows off his clk320 with a "clk55 AMG body kit"(???). So I see that he badged his car from a clk320 to a clk55 AMG. I commented on his video and this is what he said. I just want some facts, is he right?

Arguing with Youtube users

Ask which tech signed his engine.

Since his car is now and AMG he should be able to sign up with his VIN http://www.mercedes-amg.com/privatel...oduce-Yourself

Seen this when I had my 350Z. The actual Nismo cars from 2007-8 with serial numbers, had seam welded bodies and some other special touches. People would put nismo wheels and body kits on base cars and claim it as a "Full Nismo Kit". One guy did it with a convertible, and actually started a thread asking if he had enough parts changed over to be considered really a nismo. He had actually sourced some of the braces and dampers and stuff. People are nuts.

People are retarded, nothing you can do about, best to ignore.

The only reason I made this thread was because I wasn't sure if what he's saying is true.

It's his car and he can stick whatever badges he wants on it. It will look like he wants and only experts well probably know the difference..... until he starts it... LOL. If I wanted to put CLK63 badges on my little 1.8 I could...it's not against the law....I don't btw! As Joe says "who cares?"

Maybe he can sign the engine plaque himself?

The brake calipers always give these guys away.

Exactly! Who cares? Maybe some insecure **** with a CLK55, but no one else.

I had a lady get all pissy with me on my motorcycle. She was in a BMW 325I Convertible and was mad because my motorcycle had BMW Roundels on it. She said it was not right to badge a motorcycle as a BMW. I ride a 2015 BMW R1200GS. I told her motorcycles were made by BMW long before they started making cages! She flipped me off and drove away. People are stupid!

That was news to me also. I'm not into bikes, but it never occurred to me that BMW made motorcycles..... Nevertheless, I won't have gotten upset with anyone because I saw a BMW, or other, badge on a bike; or even a lawnmower.... She was probably having a bad day because her internet access wasn't available....

I know nothing about bikes; but they don't look the same, or very similar, to me.
