Hi guys-

I have no idea, how this center console part broke off and I was wondering if I can buy it separately and it'll just slide right in or have to replace whole unit?

Have a look at the pict and please advice.

Overall center console has been a PITA from opening and closing perspective

pretty confident thinking you will have to get another lid

the locking plates can be swapped but i would go for an 06+ console and just r&r the whole thing

The part number you a looking for is 209-680-02-84. At the end of this part number should be 4 characters - exact color number. For example in my case whole part number is 209-680-02-84-7376 (I'd say it's pretty close to your color). Price is about $40.

Nope, It seem right.
Here is a picture of mine installed (you'll need to re-install lock cylinder from our old latch):

I bought it from this guys
You can double check with them if it part number fits your car by VIN.

Looking at your reply and pictures, I'll be replacing that whole attached assembly(in the attached pic) and it would come without lock which I need to swap, correct?

Because in my case, just the top plastic part is broken. Can I just replace the plastic part or it has to be full assembly?

Nope, it should be the same procedure.

Yes, it's correct.

You can, but be careful don't break two pins holding that plastic part.

What I wanted to say was you can remove top plastic part from new latch and install it to yours. Unfortunately there is no separate part number for that top plastic part, you have to by entire assembly (latch). I've checked it with several mercedes catalogs, also there is no part number on it.

It took me 5 minutes to replace that lock cylinder, it's easy

Also, what if I buy the whole top lid from a junkyard, would that work or no?
