From personal experience, the genuine MB rubber all-weather mats are good to go. Here's a link on Fleabay for <$90 shipped. I have no affiliation with the seller.

Both our E250 and E63 came with the Mercedes all weather mats, and we quickly replaced them both with aftermarket custom mats.
The OEM mats are garbage. The rear mats are too small, and the disconnected dead pedal flap on the drivers mat allows all sorts of slush, etc. To get on the carpet.
We went with Weathertechs in one vehicle and Maxpiders in the other.

Looney100 - You have real winter in CAN. Where I live, it's the junior version! The OEM fronts (incl split front driver mat) are fine for me, but you're right about the rears being a joke though I rarely have passengers back there.

I ordered the Weathertech floor liners for the front and the single piece liner for thre rear.
Ive read good and not so good reviews of them so when I get them I will take some photos of them installed and give a more complete review. I paid $190 dollars for both.

just got my weathertech floor liners and wanted to include some photos since I was somewhat skeptical of the fit and quality but I am pleased to report that they really do fit perfect (the rear one piece especially) and quality is good for under 20bucks.

Just ordered the non-laser WeatherTech mats for my 14 E63S wagon and 15 S550. Great fit and look. Thick rubber at a great price of approximately $55 a set. Skip the laser fit and go with the regular version.

I do like the look of the non-laser over the laser. The non-laser will be more than adequate for me. Did you order directly from WeatherTech? Anywhere else for cheaper?

OEM ones look fine except for that oversized logo. I would like to compared them to WeatherTech's non-laser version. I have a feeling WT will hold liquid better. Man, these companies should just build the shipping cost into their products because I hate to think I'm paying $15-$20 for shipping.

i totally agree the Weathertech shipping fee's are ridiculous!
i searched Amazon for the same WT part numbers they listed on their site for the E63 and found them here and ordered them on Amazon with free shipping so total cost out the door for both front/rear floor liner was $190 (zero shipping)

Completely disagree. There is no comparison between customer fit mats and those off the shelf. I've used both, I'll never go back to "normal" mats again.

I got the 3D Maxpider for the front and trunk due to how rainy it's been in Los Angeles. The fit is pretty much perfect, especially the raised edges which are firm and keep their shape against the car carpet rather than wavy like the WT.

Wow, I've never heard of those before. They look really good. I think the weather tech laserfit are pretty much perfect, but yours might be even better. I'll definitely keep it in mind for my next purchase.
