I have an E63S AMG but I don't like the black seats. I want to change them to the platinum white designo seats but when I asked the dealership here in WA, they said the seat covers etc are VIN specific? Is there such thing and is there anyway I could source them.
Or: If there's anyone here that has those seats and could help me order them.. I would be so happy.
Honestly I would find a highly ranked PROFESSIONAL upholstery shop and go custom. In the E63 the designo seats are the same color on the bottom and backrests of the seat and then black on the side. They didn't offer black bolsters with designo centers for the best two-tone design.
But I'm with you on the black seats being very blah, hence why I was sure to find a designo interior'd car. Mine are mystic red with black sides.
Thank you I had an E350 prior to this with ash gray interior, which was close to white. Didn't think how much nicer it was compared to black. Some people prefer it but not me lol
Mystic red must be really nice too. but I like the bicolor of the seats black and white though, it gives a lot of contrast. Custom seats, will consider if I find a place that's good enough to do it
But if anyone here has the white designo seats and could help me place an order.. that would be amazing..
That red is is nice and I can see what you mean now. That two tone color organization is important. also, the lack of bucket seats from C63S or the new e63s coming out, leaves a bit to be desired. I don't know why the w212 e63 didn't have bucket seats while while the C had it..
Yeah but I think if the bolsters were black it would help a ton in astetics.
All you would have to have a shop do is remove your centers and replace with white. Then obviously the door panels.
I also think they should have put a strip of the designo color on the dash.
This is a very crude drawing of what I'm imagining in my head. If they put the designo color on the strip I highlighted, down around the bottom half of the nav, small strip over the instrument cluster, and then over the driver vent and carry through to the top edge of the door panels.
Would look awesome with the two-tone seats.
