I've seen a handful of people changing their regular grille to a diamond grille (C400/C450/C43), but have yet to see anyone post a picture with C63 grille on their C300.
Well, I took the plunge and changed mine to C63 grille today without first seeing the picture. The result is stunning. I am honestly not a huge fan of diamond grille as it is too "bling" for me, but the C63 gives a manly look that I was looking for.
Here is a quick picture I have. I will take more pics tomorrow.

where did you buy it from? Ive been looking for one but coudnt find it anywhere online.
It would've been easier if there was a better DIY. I tried to reference to the DIY on mbworld (https://mbworld.org/how-tos/a/merced...-bumper-387548) to get some guidance. But man, this DIY sucks ***.. It took me longer to figure out what the DIY was saying than actually finding the screw on the car myself.
It took us about 3 hours total. I had to replace the star emblem cover (mine has the plastic cover for sensors), and that took about 45 minutes within those 3 hours.
It is definitely doable but you are in for a surprise if you rely on that DIY.

I bought one off of eBay. Just search for W205 C63 grille. They range from $200 to $250.
By the way, the fitment is like OEM for the most part. The only place where it had the gap was the bottom of the star emblem. It is negligible and not visible though.
Can you post a diy or at least the steps to remove the bumper.I need to change my front grill also, but since i wasn't sure about the procedure i kept postponing it.
A step by step will help me and others a lot.
Thanks.

On top of the post above, you will have to remove the bottom cover to find two screws in this picture: http://prnt.sc/a8kz69. The two screws are located about 2 feet away from each end of the bumper. (Underneath the car of course)
Other than that, you should just work on it by removing bolts as you find them. It is very straight forward.
Taking off the bumper is one thing, but removing the grille is another. These are just removing clips, but there are **** ton. So be aware.
Also, if you have adaptive cruise control, you will have to use your own emblem cover (like I did). It is also pain in the ***. To remove emblem cover from your existing grille, you will have to remove the outer ring first by pushing out clips, then rotate the inner emblem cover clockwise to take it off. Once you take it off, you are in for another challenge to put that into the new grille. I shaved off the plastic ends that fixes the emblem cover, so it is easier to turn the emblem cover counter-clockwise to put it into the right place. This will all make sense when you start to work on it.
Expect to spend about 3-4 hours for the whole job. Having a friend to help is a good idea.
Here are some more pictures... It's been raining all month in Seattle so pix are crappy.
I don't have distronic and the star i allready fitted onto the new grill since yesterday.
It was a pain same as you said to fit the outer ring due to the clips.
Car will be sitting for a few days till i find the time to install the new grill.
Gotta find a friend to help me.
I'm stuck..
How in the hell did you removed the 2 bolts underneath rhe car?
Looks like i have to remove the plastic panel to reach them but i cannot find a way to remove that either.
Please help..
I finally installed the grill, had a lot of problems with the tabs so i had to cut them shorter.
Had to remove the metal shield underneath the car in order to remove the plastic shield..so i can remove the 2 famous bolts.
Put everything back except for the shields...i am stuck here.Probably i have to put the car on stands otherwise no chance.
Unfortunately they announced rain for the next 2 days..

Anyway the new grill looks good.
It's looking great! I knew that the 2 bolts were gonna be the problems...
I tried to put back the front plastic shield and metal splash guard today and since i didn't have some stands to lift the car i ran into troubles again..
I've screwed back the plastic shield into the front of the bumper but had to force it a little bit to aling the holes...feels like it needs to go deeper into the bumper(inside the chromed lip),but there's nowhere to go further.
I've screwed back the metal shield on the 4 rear bolts but the holes between the plastic and metal shield don't align.
Plus it seems that i am missing the nuts(or fasteners of somekind)where these bolts go.There's holes in the metal and holes in the plastic but i don't see any nuts.In the other 4 holes where i allready put bolts there where some speednuts.
Is these the case between the 2 shields,or the bolts are screwed into the frame or chassis?
The problem is that i cannot see what is under the car since i don't have jack stands...
Thanks.

How the hell do you work without jack stands, that's just too crazy. I don't know what you mean by the metal shield, but for the plastic cover, I had to have my friend push it forward into the bumper and HOLD IT, then I screwed bolts in. That was the only way to fit it properly. Does that help?
I didn't have any stands so i had to work like that..i could reach the bolts holding the plastic shield from the side of the car...to remove was easy cause i only had to feel the bolt.Puting them back is hard as i cannot see where is the hole.
To remove the plastic cover(shield)i had to also remove the metalic cover that is bolted on top of the plastic towards the rear.
I found a pic on the web..
My question was if you know where the back of the plastic cover screws on..between the 2 shields(where the guy in the pic has his hand)because i can only see holes in both shields..
Are they both bolted on the frame of the car or onto each other?
Don't know if you understand what i mean..
Does anyone know the OEM part numbers for the C63 grille? Someone was kind enough to post the part number for the C450 grille with the stars but I think I prefer the look of the C63. Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, C63 OEM grille won't fit into non AMG models.

Good work with the grille swap over ... been trying to sort mine this weekend but kept hitting barriers down to needed more detailed instructions.
I cant seem to get the front splash shield off, I can take all the bolts out as per your picture but then there is this large clamping block which doesnt have any obviuos means or removal.
I've circled it in this picture;
Part number A 213 628 12 00
Ive taken some shots from under the car of the same part;
Ny ideas how to remove it ?
Tried levering the circular cap off, but it wasnt moving
The rest of the grille changing is OK ... but without getting the front splash shield off I cant get to the 2 x miystery bumper fixing bolts !
Any help welcomed from people who have removed this, or any WID or EPC diagrams would be very helpful.
