Nobody ever said the M5 isn't more tunable at this point. Though for years that wasn't the case. Flash tuning and JB4+BMS are a recent development ie less that 24 months. Before that tuned M157s mopped the floor. Things always change. The point is complaining without doing something about it is useless. Moving to another car like F10/12 is a great option if you are unhappy. Go right ahead. The have their own reliability concerns that need be addressed, but nothing money and time can't fix. .but stop with the nonsense rehashed posts.
Guys like us are not capable of cracking ECUs and TCUs... All we can do is express our thoughts and concerns. And troll army will never stop!
yeah, he got upgraded turbos and he's nowhere to be found now 😳
Maybe we don't have any "good" data on upgraded turbo cars because they are so fast they open a worm hole into another dimension and people just vanish? Or the launch and torque are so great that matter just instantly vaporizes?
lol first video the m5 just went of the brake to gas pedal. Thats not how to launch a rwd cars.. Second video is alright but the e63 got a good jump.
There are more videos of m5 beating the e63.
How about a RWD e63s losing to m6 GC in this Chris Harris video towatds the end. THATS A RWD S MODEL E63!! Which is lighter, more powerful or equal (at the wheels) to m5/m6

Okay -- so ready? Gunna be crazy, might even blow your simple mind.
Out there, in the world that you live in, on the roads that you drive on, people have varying levels of skill behind the wheel. Crazy, right? Okay okay ready? So like, when like, it's kinda maybe possible that the m5 driver wasn't so good at you know... driving... Then perhaps there may be other truths to the m6/e63s video, yeah?
Okay okay, perfect, so here just so we have an understanding. For every video you post I can post one, too! So let's just not post any in an unrelated thread to any of what you're saying...
The message here is simple - We have already acknowledged the cars flaws. I just want people to make an effort to still see through that and enjoy everything else the car has to offer because it would be a shame to not appreciate what a lot of others will only dream or read about.
Every single time someone gets in my car they smile and have fun. They don't even have to be car people and I don't even have to go fast. That's what is important.

Tired of you, troll.
AWD car does not require the level of skill that the m5/m6 does. So what you are trying to argue about is irrelevant. Plus, they are professionals. E63 loses to m5/m6 from a roll and thats a fact no one wants to argue about. And thats ok because we cant beat them both from dig and roll. So what Im saying is that we should be able to take FULL ADVANTAGE of our awd because thats where we are the king. You dont get it. No one is complaining about the car. We just dont like the fact that AMG tuners or Mercedes is not unlocking the ecu/tcu encryption.

That RWD E63 S also has almost 90 ft-lbs of torque more than the M6, along with 20mm less tire width putting that power to the ground. So driver skill is really going to be tested trying to beat the M6.
I also think that more development was put into optimizing the M5/M6 acceleration through the M-differential and optimizing gearing than what was put into the W212 E63 S (probably for both the AWD and RWD models).

Thats exactly what Im saying. The e63 has more or equal power at the wheels. Weights less as far as I know and still falls behind from a roll. M5/M6 is just better engineered for top end power. E63 is supposed to be a monster from a dig but that torque limitation is seriously annoying. Kills the whole point of having awd.

Also. If you watch that video right at the 14:32 mark the amg actually gets a better launch but the m6 still pulls on him.

I saw that as well. But on some of my powerful RWD cars (3 were 550+ rwhp) I could feather the launch for a decent 60' time, but my 330' would be crap from tire spin afterwards on the 1-2 and/or 2-3 shifts. So I am not sure in this case the video evidence is proving anyone's point conclusively.
I want to get to the track again before the weather gets too hot. I want to experiment more with the launch. I feel like Race Start leaves too much on the table.
Also, the reasons you mentioned are why I love my 2013 E550. It's not an AMG but it's also a complete sleeper to most who have no clue what it's packing. Plus maintenance and ELW are WAAAAYYYY cheaper

umm this actually goes to prove that it's more of a torque monster, that's why it spun more. Sometimes more power works against you and that's exactly what happens to a RWD e63s lol
As as you can see, like the video against the white m5 it's clear even with the small lag the e63s with awd wins.
