[QUOTE=Vingard;7135321]MY2018 GLC43 ordered 4/22/17, scheduled early June build, estimated delivery July/QUOTE]
Black + Night package. That's a sweet build. Did you consider AMG Line? Never mind, I didn't notice this is a 43 so it comes w/AMG trim already. In any case, very nice!

GLC43 on order here (Australian spec).
Aussie-spec GLC43s are almost full spec (including Night Package), so the only options available are:
401 Climatized/luxury front seats
865 Digital TV tuner
L6K DINAMICA AMG steering wheel
P21 Air-balance
DB1 Designo package
I chose everything except the DINAMICA steering wheel and Designo.
I just wish I could have Thermotronic 3-zone climate control though, but apparently it's not available in Australian models.
Note - prices are in Australian dollars.

Oh well, we've got the 33% luxury car tax and state stamp duty (5.2% in Victoria) to pay.
At least it's not as bad as Malaysia (where I used to live). Import taxes for fully-imported cars are over 200%. Were I to buy a GLC43 in Malaysia, it'd easily cost twice of what I paid in Australia.

The only delay/constraint I was made aware of was the Smartphone Integration Package (which I wouldn't be able to get anyways because of the Multimedia Package). Did you read this somewhere or is this something the dealership told you? If it is, I would be curious as to why, it's not new technology, it's just a new way of bundling the features versus 2017's various P tiered packaging.

If my understanding is correct, the two main differences are in the mufflers as well as the ability to manually control the flaps that are in the H-pipe via a button on the center console.
If someone else has better information to correct me, please do so.

Gnawmean, Did your dealer confirmed the approx delivery date on the contract? I Placed an order 2 weeks ago for a 2018 GLC 300 Coupe and my dealer still tells me approx delivery date should be in late September...and he did not want to put it on the contract

jimba, he says it's still on track for a mid-July delivery.
I think certain options push deliveries back, one of which is Carplay, but I may be wrong.

Got an update from the sales manager today: Ordered April 11, Status as of June 9 = B5, production complete.
I asked about the sections of the order for VIN, shipping info, and ETA and he said those fields are all still blank. He said that's not unusual for a car that just completed production. He said those details should populate on the order screen by next week.
They're still recommending we plan for early July delivery. I guess we'll see if it arrives then, or if a "hold" will apply until August. I can't imagine a company parking millions of dollars of sold inventory at a port, instead of delivering it and getting paid. But I've heard the stories and am prepared to wait an extra month if needed. We shall see.

I dropped my car off in Stuttgart last week after driving it around Europe for a month. I see it is currently setting in the Bremerhaven ship yard. It is scheduled to leave port on 06/17 on the Meridian ACE, arriving in Long Beach on 7/17.
It is just speculation, but I would think that your car needs to be loaded on a ship this week if there is any hope of receiving it in early July.
But may be there are fast ships? The Meridian ACE has 10 stops before it arrives in Long Beach. May be some ships have few stops so they can make the voyage quicker?

MB vehicles bound for Denver are dropped at Baltimore and then trucked over. It takes about 3-4 weeks, door to door.
The Meridian is currently headed from Vigo (Spain) to Emden and is due on the 12th. Assuming it goes to Bremerhaven next, that would put it out of that port just about exactly when ted jane said, June 17.
My guess (and this is just a guess) is that ted jane's car is waiting in Bremerhaven because the Meridian is the ship that will bring the first batch of US-bound 2018 GLCs that were produced in the first decade of June. I'll know more next week when I get VIN and vessel info from my dealer.

I have "ordered" a 2018 GLC Coupe. We went to and fro on the price before I got what I consider a good deal. The dealer tells me it will be built in decade 3 of Aug. They are doing a swap with a another dealership owned by the same holding company. At what point in the cycle does the dealer give me some signed paperwork that commits us both? I have bought some new BMW's off the lot but never done a custom order before so thanks in advance.

Not to muddy the water, but as of now, SOME GLC's are being built in the Valmet Finland plant which is supposed to be a top notch contractor for MB. The Bremen plant in Germany is still the main production facility for GLC's and the Valmet plant handles the excess orders Bremen can't handle. According to info online, the Bremen plant is running full blast, 3 shifts/day.
I mention this as it may impact how long your particular car sits around, waiting to get on a ship. Just found out mine was built in Valmet so I hope hope the quality is the same as the "real" MB plant in Bremen!
BTW, the 11th digit of your VIN indicates where your car was built. F-H = Bremen , V = Valmet

For the GLC, my experience was similar to DieselDoc. I ordered (by email actually) and did a refundable deposit.
