Sad day. We finished camping on weekends, heading back to Montreal, on the way back home I hit a dam fxxxing huge raccoon.
Then I stop the car check for damage, lucky there was no body damage at all, front bumper wasn't damaged. So I keep driving, but after 10 min normal driving, engine turns bad, I heard ticking knocking noise from engine. I stop the car right away, then check closely. I found my engine oil cooler was damaged! engine was running NO OIL!!!
EVEN UNTIL I HEARD NOISE STOP THE CAR, I DID NOT GET ANY WARNING MESSAGE FROM DASH! NOTHING ABOUT LACK OF OIL! NOTHING ABOUT LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT!!!!
FUNNY THING I CAN STILL SEE ENGINE OIL TEMP.!
Worst thing was I did not have cell phone signal at all(This is Canada), we push the car for about 1.5 km to get barely 1 bar 2G EDGE signal.
Pretty similar like AutoVlog, I need new engine or my car totaled. NEW UPDATES #29 FLOOR

Are you sure the engine's destroyed? Given engine temps, if it didn't spike to red, it might just be a simple 'fix oil cooler, fill with oil' issue.
Ticking happens fairly quickly as soon as you go to lower oil levels, so you may have not been completely starved. Since you stopped as soon as you heard the ticking, you might be OK.

I m not sure the damage level in the engine, it still was running and has output ability at time I heard noise. Only thing I knew, it sounds like old diesel. And BTW :EVEN AT THE TIME I HEARD NOISE AND STOP, DASH HAS NO WARMING LIGHT AT ALL! NOTHING!

Since you stated you heard knocking sounds, that means the damage has already be done.
I would file an insurance claim and they should cover the cost to fix or total the car under the comprehensive part of your policy.
I hope they just need to replace the oil cooler! But man this must be one super raccoon to do that kind of damage. Cracked the undertray and piece of it falling off... Undertrays are usually quite flexible. Sure it wasn't a big rock? Good luck, I hope you get this resolved without too much damage.

YES WE WENT TO CAMPING, RUN THOUGHT MUD SOMEWHERE. NOTHING WRONG WITH OFF-ROADING, ROAD CONDITION IS FAIRLY GOOD EXCEPT MUD DUE TO RAINY DAY BEFORE.
I COULD NOT BELIEVE EITHER, BUT IT HAPPENS. I GUESS WHEN I HIT THAT RACCOON (AROUND 60 KM/H), THE IMPACT HAPPEN UNDERNEATH THE CAR NOT DIRECTLY ON FRONT BUMPER. AND BROKEN BONE CAUSE THE COOLER DAMAGE.
BTW: WHEN THE CAR JACKED UP, FOUND THERE IS NOT ONLY OIL COOLER DAMAGED, ALSO COOLER COVER AND ENGINE BOTTOM COVER DAMAGED. IF IT HIT A ROCK HOW COULD FRONT BUMPER NOT DAMAGED BUT BROKE AND BEND COOLER.

Or another theory is you hit a rock prior when you went off-roading and later on your way back you hit a raccoon leading you to believe that was the cause. But either way, an accident is an accident so I hope you get her fixed soon.

I M SURE RACCOON WAS THE ONLY THING I HIT THAT DAY!

Nobody with half a brain believes your stupid story.
You have mud in front of the front wheels. There is no possible way to get mud there without contacting it physically. The oil cooler also has mud pushed up inside of it which would indicate it made contact with mud too. I'm calling bs. Hope it gets fixed, but I'd reconsider the story.

Mud got from when we drove to camping Saturday(rain), we used water hose washed car at camp(sorry waste a lot water), when we heading back on morning of Monday, we choose another route back which has most road are paved, condition far more better than we went to camp, this can poof by this picture:
If we hit in mud caused damage on we way back, front bumper could not clean like this.

I do not care what is the cause of the damage. However it is obvious that oil coolers are fully exposed to the elements. Therefore two questions a) why there were no warning signals in the dash and b) are there ways to protect the oil coolers. I know that AMG C63S can be fitted with metallic underbody guard, but it is fixed after the oil coolers.
