Dead Main Battery, can't open trunk at all, help.

Does anyone know any tips or trick on how someone can enter the trunk of a CLS55 AMG when the entire car is dead?

I had to break into my own car, went to hit the trunk latch but that didn't work.
Checked the AUX battery, it's charged. But NOTHING turns on at all. I can't get access to the trunk, mechanical key turns but can't open the trunk because nothing happens when you hit the button, (no battery).

Anyone know what to do in a situation like this?

Thanks.

The key will open the trunk unless the latch is broken.

You can supply power to the main cable under the hood and get power in the systems to open the trunk. It's safer to use the key though.

Latch must be broken because it definitely doesn't open it unless I'm doing it wrong, I turn it and it turns probably 30 degrees before it can't turn anymore. Nothing happens after that, same with putting the key in the driver side door.

How do I power it through the main cable?

The power distribution box under the hood has a main cable coming from the battery. You will have to remove the covers to get to it most likely, I can't picture the CLS setup in my head. If you apply power using a jumper pack or spare battery to that and ground it to the chassis, it should enable you to release the trunk using power, to charge the main battery. I've had to do it on older 211's and 220s. Just be careful where you apply power, and only use it to release the trunk, then jump at the main battery when possible.

I have no idea and can't find online where the power distribution box / main cable are located. It doesn't seem with either the Aux battery or fuse box.

On the 211, which is basically what your car is, it was near the wiper cowl on the right side. You had to remove the plastic covers, and there were several large wires coming into the pre-fuse box. I used a screwdriver clamped in the booster pack clamp to contact the positive cable, and it powered the vehicle enough to open the trunk remotely.

Ok, finally got into the trunk, i had to pry the latch, it was stuck so after a while of going at it was able to get the trunk open.

Have been charging the main battery for 7+ hours now, the Aux battery is full. NOTHING in the car responds. Nothing powers on or anything.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Start with a new battery, or have the old one tested properly. clean all the connections. Then start reading about the BCM.
