Suby's 2024 AMG GLE 53
Hi Everyone!
I am excited to share my new 2024 Mercedes AMG GLE 53.
Family life with 1 1/2 year old twins gave us an opportunity to upgrade from our 2018 E Class.
Specs:
Red leather
21" wheels
Alpine Grey
Current modifications:
Protection:
Xpel 10mm full PPF
Xpel ceramic coating full exterior wheels, tires, body panels, glass.
Xpel 35% window tint driver and passenger & 25% rear and cargo area.
Mercedes Benz cargo liner trunk mat.
Engine:
BMC drop in air filter.
Exterior:
Vinyl black wrapped door handle top halves.
Vinyl black wrapped rear tailgate chrome strip.
AMG black license plate frame.
All gloss black emblems.
Gloss black rear spoiler. ( will be coming off)
Acer titanium black lug bolts.
LEO countermeasures:
Escort Max 360 ii hardwired
Thinkware U3000 hardwired
Winter:
20" Stance SF03 wheels gloss black.
Continental VikingContact 7
Future plans:
Catted downpipe ( I picked out a few brands, but I am still looking for a reasonable priced installer in the area.) I cannot justify a $2,000 install charge on a $2,500 car part.
Tune ( I already contacted Eurocharged, DME Tuning, AMR Performance, Weistec, Blackboost) I need a to make a decision to part with my car for approximately 2 weeks to ship out the DME to Finland to get it unlocked.
VTA ( I cannot find the boost inlet.) On all the previous M256 engines it was installed onto the back of the turbocharger. In my 2024 this has been relocated and no company knows where. I sent pictures to Weistec and Blackboost of my engine bay and nobody has any idea.
Intake Blackboost- I will wait on a tune to take advantage of the stock power.
22" 5 spoke wheels to run a wider setup. Looking to do 325 in the rear. But here I will be very limited to tire choices.
Airmatic lowering kit (I did order Lowerd Benz from Most Wanted the OBD lowering tuner but it did not work most likely because the 2024 model has different Airmatic parameters in the COMAND).
Larte carbon fiber hood.
Larte carbon fiber spoiler.

The cost was less than $10,000 total.
Your state?
It's listed to the left of this post.
How is your vehicle able to project the AMG crest?
I installed a LED AMG logo projector in the doors.

Beautiful! I love the color, inside & out. You mentioned a Mercedes cargo mat. Do you have any info on that? I was told they were not available, so I am looking at WeatherTech. I do have the Mercedes all weather mats for the interior. Thanks!

Yes I have the OEM trunk mat. But I guess I知 wrong because it is called a boot tub???Hahaaha
I like this one because it is raised on the edges so when I spill anything from the groceries, it does not trickle down onto my carpet and also those raised squares, keep everything usually in place a minor bit more. Since the weather tech will have everything sliding all over.

My WeatherTech trunk mat (2018} was more like wet, very thin cardboard, than a trunk (boot) mat.
The OEM mat is quite nice.

Going from e class to gle
I知 going from a 2019 e300 to a 2024 Gle53 and I知 wondering if you think the ride quality is better in the gle? Does it feel more solid? I like my car but not to impressed in the overall feel of it. Very boat like and I feel like I bounce around a lot.
thanks for feedback!

The GLE non AMG was a bit similar to the E Class. But still stiffer and less floaty but you felt the weight of the SUV.
The GLE AMG is very confident, predictable, but total comfort even with big wheels. It is just so well balanced.
Photos of my E Class at Like Rock Park chasing down a Lime Rock Edition M3. The E Class had no business on a full pro race course. But pushing it got a bit scary in the corners. But luckily with my performance upgrades on the straights. I was able
to catch up to all the sports cars.
