2024s have been released for sale, finally lol. Facelift looks pretty nice.

The biggest improvement, IMHO, is MBUX 7 which fixes my biggest complaints about the 2023 EQB:

1) Inability to set charging times (i.e. only charge from 11pm to 7am)
2) CarPlay is not full-screen
3) CarPlay is not wireless, making the wireless charging pad redundant

Why do you say that?

I can use the wireless pad to charge the phone, but if I want to use CarPlay I need to plug the phone into a USB port so don’t even need the charging pad.

Yes, one can also use a wireless dongle but that’s not perfect either based on the location of the usb ports.

Just wanted to share how I set up the Ottocast wireless Carplay dongle. It has a small footprint and does not intrude into the wireless pad, maybe about a cm or less. Have been using it for the past year, and am quite satisfied with its performance. Startup is extremely quick and rarely disconnects. Phone does not get hot either.

Two other real positives for me:
1. I am not forced to charge the phone when I am connected to Carplay, which is always when I am in the car.
2. It forms a nice rest for the phone when I want to use the wireless charging pad. Phone does not slide/ bob around the car much now.

I think you must have a setting turned off, or something. I use wireless CarPlay every day on my 2022 EQB300.

2023 EQB300
I had a 2024 GLB loaner the last time the EQB was in the shop (18 days for new rear motor). I liked the removal of the track pad which was a bane of my existence in my GLC, GLE and now the EQB. I was always swiping it accidentally. What I did not care for was specifically the dynamic select changing from a toggle switch to a toggle button. I really like to drive a complex vehicle like this more like flying a plane than driving a less-advanced car. Namely, I like to memorize switch positions and make selections by muscle-memory and feel. I will often toggle dynamics-- particularly in the ICE vehicles where I want to change gear ratios for quick entry to NJ's notorious short on-ramps. The flat goggle button as opposed to switch where there are other toggle buttons is an erogonimic non-starter for me. The 2024 GLB also eliminated the palm rest above the track pad and I liked that.

But love the new trim options. Sad to see my Denim Blue metallic paint go away. The Starling Blue is a bit intense.

Let's just hope the 24's prove more dependable than my troublesome 2023 EQB300.

Nope, no wireless.

Are you using an aftermarket dongle by any chance?

No, nothing aftermarket. Just stock equipment.
