No more v8 for 2025 :(
May be an old news but I was looking at mb site and saw there is no v8 ? Only option is straight 6 and electric motor.
I am wondering if they will yank up the MSRP.
l love the v8 and now debating if those hybrids are worth it

I find it funny that MB recently put up the MY 2024 build site in the U.S. even though all 2024 G wagons have been built. They always seem to be a full model year behind in the U.S.

If you are ok with the G 63 you still get V8 though.

Regulations are the most likely reason. They downsized the E63 and C63 from V8s to 6 or 4 cylinder engines so not a shock they did the same here. Now the only way to get the V8s are the top of the range MB's: SL/GT, S 63E, GLS 63, G 63 etc. which lowers their numbers and MB gets to make the most bang for buck for the V8s.

Even with that, you can’t config it with Magno Copper Orange, the wood deck for the back or the roof rack. It’s exactly the same website as before, except 2024 vs. 2023.
