CAMS (Yeah I know)

hey Gang,
time to start setting aside some pesos for the cam replacement/upgrade. I see 63 Motorsports no longer list their cams on their site, so my choices now are VRP and Blackboost, Billet vs Rebuilt.. any last words

VRP and PTG have similar specs, you can't really get huge lift out of the stock heads without doing major headwork and upgraded valve springs.

VRP are hard welded and coated so they don't wear like the factory cams. PTG are billet and double the price.

Expect 30whp on NA and 60whp on S/C.

Mine are Stage 3 VRP Cams, been running them for 2+ years with no issues tuned by VTech 700rwhp @ 5PSI with VRP Gen 5 3.0L Whipple.

Would pricing and installing the original Mercedes new cams not be the best thing to do?
I watch Tasos Moschatos and would follow him, and I have only seen Tasos installing new genuine cams.

Based on your handle, you should just put an LS in it!

OEM SLS is a good option if you are wiling to swap intake manifold or throw a blower on your car.

new cams are the same garbage as stock so if you want to be replacing them again and again you could just use more stock ones

It's silly no one posts their cam specs. No one is going out of there way to make these cams. There's such little gains and profit with such small production batches since a blower is money way better spent.

Yes, I'm tuned by VTech Georgia now. He tunes all of VRP's highly modified supercharged/cammed cars so I found it better for him to tune my setup.

I heard he very affordable as well. Im debating what to do with my c63. Ive been referred to him by so many, since my c63 is unlocked via hp tuners, i may end up using him. How fast does he tune a NA setup in ur opinion, is it like a all day thing?

He tunes with MyGenius devices, so you'll have to buy a handheld from him. His tunes are pretty dialed in out of the box, he only adjusted fueling a bit on my supercharged setup and I was able to go WOT after the first revision. Car has been running strong ever since!
