1999 SL500 add AMG Supercharger HELP??
I have a 1999 SL500 AMG Sport and just Bought a used AMG supercharger off a crashed 2002 SL55.
I need to know:
1. If it will even have a chance of being fitted to my engine.
2. Who can do the installation, where do i begin?
Yes, i am cheap amd am trying to get an AMG supercharger on my car for a fraction of the cost. Here is a pic of the supercharger. Any help or comments are appreciated....

IF your cheap then just crome it and wait until you have the money. I dont think thats just a bolt on item. I would think you need a mercedes mechanic that is a Drinking buddy to get that thing installed. WHy didnt you just buy the whole engine? I Wonder is teh sl55 a 5.5 liter engine? Jeff

jjay - Your kinda funny, but not really. I guess you pals need to get drunk to laugh at your jokes. I was actually looking for some intelligent insight. Yes, the SL55 is 5.5.

Ok so will it fit your 500sl? I am not sure how the dynamics of the super charger works as far as intechangeablility. It looks great. Im excited to see what you find out. Jeff

A few things. The SL55 is actually a 5.4 not a 5.5. In regards to the supercharger, consult a MB Professional (private party). I am not quite sure how the engine will handle the boost. Maybe even calling Kleemann will be of help, since they supercharge 500 Model cars and if my memory is correct, they also manufacture the superchargers for AMG.

all I could say it going to be hard..... 
....you need just more that a bolt to put on the supercharger........ For example you need the ECU to go with it.....hope you have that too........Anyways good luck.... ....
