New to the forum and I am looking at my first possible purchase...
Can anyone tell me what the fair market value for this car is with 92500 and an AMG body kit on it? The price actually seemed low to me...
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hmm, it says it is CPO and comes with AMG kit, custom wheels, and a custom sound system. $12,000 seems low, just have an independent MB Mechanic looks over it. If you live in north jersey, PM me and I can recommend a good mechanic.
Thanks for the feedback...and I actually live in Central NJ but I may take you up on that offer at some point down the line...Thanks again.

I don't think it is an AMG kit on that car. It is only the Sport Package of a regular 129.
I would check out the service history and background. Make sure it is not from NOLA area. $12K is too low for that car with 92K on the clock.

I thought 1992's had three vents behind the front wheels. That car has only two. But hell, if it's only $12,000, consider it. It looks pretty good in the pictures.

There is a red light on (far left) Can't recall which warning light that is. Also, I have a 1992 and either my oil pressure is abnormally low at idle, or this cars is really high...From the Temp gauge the car is pretty cold. Possibly too high a viscosity oil in her that is like molasses when cold.
1992 did have 3 side vents, but who knows with the body kit on it.
I'd get a carfax on it and a full inspection. Good luck!

Thanks again to all for the feedback...I sent the guy an Ebay message to come and look at it last week and he has not responded. Maybe it sold already locally...

I have to say the price is market correct. In fact you could buy that car for about 10k THe reason is because the benzes of this era are at the bottom of there market. This is the reason I purchased mine this spring. The car I got was 16 years old with 73000 miles and if you look at that thats almost collector car milage at 4563 miles per year. I paid full retail at about 15000 for my car since I wanted the cleanest on I could find for the private party prices. Now the clean cars will continue to go up in value over the next 10 years and the dog cars will continue to trade below 10k and become relative hot potatoes that people sell frequently because the maintnance becomes tiring. I would say its a good time for all because dreams are within reach. But dont give up your daily driver. JJ
