SLR Aftermarket Engine Hood
Hi everyone,

Newbie here. Greeting to all.
Just picked up a beautiful 2002 SL600 to compliment my daily driving. I've always love the lines of the SLR (or SLK) engine hood and am considering the mod. My questions are 1) Is it possible to do it on a 02 SL600? 2)Has someone here done the conversion and 3) Can someone suggest a US manufacture company?

The cost alone of the custom job will be much better spent on some performance upgrades. The R129 is a sharp and classy looking automobile; bolting on an SLR-look hood will cheapen it, IMHO. Now, a WALD bodykit on the other hand...

BRABUS SL73 2001
An SLR mod hood would blend much better with the lines of the R230, which I believe may be available. The beautiful "classic" lines of the R129 should remain untouched IMHO.
