Wtb: Sl74,73,60,55.

Hellloo dear members...!...!

Not sure about the place where I put up this thread but I want to make sure all R129 owners read this...!

I'm looking up for the SL74 modified by Renntech (Quick question, is the 74 a modified 600 or a 73?).

SL73 Brabus
SL73, preferably 2001
SL60, preferably 2001
SL55, preferably 2001

HARD TOP

Thank you for your time!! CHEERS!

What about the base SL73 AMG?.

I'm pretty sure someone out there has one and is willing to sell it for the right price. A bit frustrating I must say, but I'm checking out in every place possible.

Well, all of them are pretty hard to fine all around the world and it's extra hard to find them in the middle east let alone in the Gulf area.

Thank you for the price quote that you gave me about them, that's going to help me a lot. Now, the next step is to find the actual cars and buy them.

Well, I'm looking to buy one car for the time being. Gathering more info about those beasts now. If I found a couple for a good price, I wouldn't turn it down. The rest of them will be a step by step thing IF I find any because until now, no one is willing to sell the cars I've mentioned.

But for now, I'm looking for a Brabus 73 as the first daddy of the R129s.., I love em R129s!

Does Brabus still have the modifying program??

they should if u buy a 2001, BUT to get a 600 to a 73 cost like ~100K
so you would be putting 100K into a 25K car

If you want some more power, just pick up a 600 and retrofit a centrifugal supercharger on the M120 motor. A guy on the Benz World posted up some photos of the setup.

SL500 2001 Formula 1 Edition;
As you all know, the R129's with AMG engines are very rare.

Wikipedia says TOTAL for all years were under 300. I have no idea where they got the info.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_SL-Class#AMG

Going to be very hard to find.

Well, you shouldn't have made it sound that bad.

It is a Benz at the end of the day and it's worth every single penny you spend on it.

Well, it isn't just the power. It's the thing that you're gonna be carrying with you. But I'll keep that centrifugal supercharger issue on mind as well.

Thank you for your help.

Going to be very hard to find.

Wiki is not always right...I'd believe that German site, more accurate numbers.

Yup, it is already very hard to find anything...Hoping for the best.
