Gotta sell my baby....damn!

Well, this REALLY sucks. I've only had my car a few months, and I absolutely LOVE it...but the reality is...I need the money more than I need the car. Its either sell this car, or my 01 Acura CL, having 2 cars is a luxury I just can't afford right now, and the Acura has 130k miles, so its not going to bring me what I need to survive! Damn!

Sorry, thanks for letting me vent!
OK..so where should I post my car for sale?
And what do you think would be a FAIR price for my 96 SL500 Sport, triple black, EXCELLENT condition 94k miles with CD, perfect hard top, rolling rack, cover and top hoist?

Beautiful car and I feel your pain.
Everything looks good.
You have your region working against you on this one. The LA basin is probably second to Florida, maybe first from a supply standpoint.
High end $16K but if you want to move it, I think Red gave you the fair price you asked.
This is the hard part of ownership that we all dispise. Remember, others took a much bigger hit before you bought it.

Thanks guys!

Thanks...and its not really bad news regarding the money! Its just bad news that I'm forced to sell it! I LOVE this car!
I only paid 14200.00, plus tax and reg. And it came with the rack. Then a couple of hundred in motor-mounts and a transmission mount (the previous owner split the cost with me...nice guy! LOL) and 100.00 for the top hoist.
So..I won't exactly take a bath on it if I can get anywhere between 14-17 for it. I WAS kinda hoping it might go for more though, considering it's a real Sport, has chromes, low miles , and it was a Star-Mark Certified Pre-Owned car.

I guess I'll put it on eBay and see what happens! <heavy sigh>
Wish me luck...I'm goin' in....LOL.

Thanks again.

Thread bump here, but since i'm new and your guys are here....
I've done my research but how much do you think a 99 sl 500 34k silver on black w/sport package is worth? Its got a few scratches here and there but its in VERY nice shape other than that.

Do you really believe that 94K miles is low? Low to me is less than 33K miles on a 1996.

Its always condition, condition, condition... That is the most important aspect of these cars. Mileage comes second, location of the car can have importance as well....
