Replacement Sun Visors Sources..?

Hi All,

I have been searching throughout the WWW and have not located anyone that carries the replacement sun visors that will match up with whatever serial number that we provide... The only source that I found from another forum member was www.Parts.com and here was their response...

"Sun visors are able for your vehicle. Left(driver)side part#: 12981011108411 $153.60, Right(passenger)side part#: 12981012108F33 $213.60. Sam"

Now, I asked for pictures just to make sure I was getting the real thing but they cannot provide any since they leave a warehouse somewhere directly to my door... Please post any other sources you may have because I know one company can't have a monopoly on this - can they..?

Try MB of South Atlanta

Google these folks, go to parts and ask for quote. They have some good prices!

Thanks Jimmy,

OK, I called them and they sent me to a website: http://www.mymercedesparts.com/

I then entered the parts #'s listed above for my particular VIN and they came back at a higher price @ $229.08 for each side.. Drivers side had to be ordered from Germany (10 days) Pass side has 4 in the country for the interior color called Leather Pebble per the guy on the phone which is a Tan color... If anyone else has any suggestions - please keep them coming..

Parts.com has always delivered me the best price w/ S&H on OE parts. But I will ask you why you are replacing the entire sun visor? Is it the "plastic compact mirror" that needs replacing? If so, many times you can purchase that part by itself w/ the right p/n and color code. Are you replacing the "plastic sun visor surround". If not I would suggest that you do both at the same time so as to take care of both of the more common parts that get brittle over time.

I'm new to the e55 (2003) scene and also have a passenger visor issue. the plastic frame around the mirror is cracked so it doest hold the cover high enough to turn the light on. is there a part number for just the plastic frame and can they be purchased

Yes, I would suggest that you go to your local Dealership Parts Counter and ask them to help you order the p/n that is needed. Please take your VIN w/ you.
