2000 mercedes sl 600 - check engine light throttle motor replaced still lacks power
Anyone help me with the issue of no power with my sl 600. I had to have both throttle motors replaced and car not running smooth at all. No power has issues with getting any speed. Fuel filter replaced. Had this work done at a mechanic who is good and I trust. He says I need to take it to Mercedes Benz dealer to reset the programming? Is this correct. Please help.

yes! Go to a place that has the star diagnostic ability.
The engine is in the LHM (limp home mode ) and a detailed read out will lead the mechanic to the correct repair!!!!
You may have needed the stuff that was replaced but until the system is diagnosed it is just a guess.

I have same issue. I found several broken small plastic vacumm line so replaced all. Now I just need to sync or calibrate the throttle pedal to this later design "DRIVE BY WIRE" style throttle bodies.
I know dealer ship has Star, but I dont need diagnoses because I fould the broken parts. Just need proceedure to reset. Someone mentioned but was not for this model, a way to do by pushing pedal in a certain sequence. ????
