91 300 SL
Question 91 300 SL issues

Just joined, after bringing home my new 91 300 SL. Looks to be in decent shape, with less than 60k miles.
It has some issues, and i don't know where to start. Any help appreciated!
* Convertible. Are the hydraulics easily repaired? Pretty much every piston has oil on it, and it's totally inoperable. It has spewed all the oil out.
* The center brake light doesn't work, and has no juice coming to it-per test light.
* When i try to lock, i hear some kind of motor growl, but nothing happens. so i can't lock the car.
* What is it like to replace the headliner in the hard top?
* The back deck lid, top of roll bar and tops of head rests are totally cooked from the sun. What is it like to get that reupholstered?
* Apparently the previous owner sent the instrument cluster in and never noticed that the odometer doesn't work. everything else works on it just fine. Where do i get the odometer fixed?

A bit lengthy, but i'd welcome any input. I live near Ft Wayne IN, and am not in the right snack bracket to pay somebody to do all these things, so need to do the things that i can. I'd love to have the top working again, and need all the brake lights working properly - those are the most pressing to me.
I have other issues that i can just live with for now.

many thinks.

The hydraulic cylinders are easily removed for rebuilding. Removal instructions are here. The company to whom that website belongs rebuilds them, or you can purchase a seal kit on eBay for $16 and repair them yourself.

The wire for the brake light is likely broken at the trunk lid hinge.

The odometer may have a broken gear. A replacement can be purchased here.
