I got an illness

No, not Covid - I call it "while I'm there itis"...

Waiting on my transmission from Sun Valley and keep climbing under the car and seeing stuff that I could do while I'm there and the car is on the lift. So far this includes:
Replaced the lower control arms, bushings and ball joints
Replaced the sway bar rubber
Replaced the tie rods
Replaced the O2 Sensor (easy to get to now)
Replaced the valve cover gaskets
Replaced the motor mounts (I have the transmission mount waiting...)
Replacing the flex disks
Changed the differential fluid
Replaced the transmission flex hoses
Replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses

There's probably a few things I've forgotten, but you get the gist.

Started eyeing the rear subframe today and was wondering about dropping it to clean it up and replace the bushings and all the links....

How do I stop this madness???

Mark

Add.

Flex coupler between the steering gear and the steering wheel shaft.
Rear control arm carrier bushing (classic).
Inspect the rear subframe bushings (the 4 big ones).
ALL the engine vacuum lines.
Firewall vacuum distribution block.
All the rear links.

Good thing you don't have ADS, or you could get started on the spheres.

Flex coupler between the steering gear and the steering wheel shaft. - Good idea - hadn't thought of that one. Prices look like they are made from gold??
Rear control arm carrier bushing (classic). - Planning on for later.
Inspect the rear subframe bushings (the 4 big ones). - they look good for now. Planning on pulling the rear suspension and redoing the whole thing as the next project.
ALL the engine vacuum lines. - Already did that when I redid all the intake manifold gaskets.
Firewall vacuum distribution block. - Not familiar with this. Where is it?
All the rear links. - Look good for now, but will include when I redo the rear suspension.

Good thing you don't have ADS, or you could get started on the spheres. - Agree completely!!!

Thanks for the input!!

Vacuum distribution block.

Follow the white vacuum line from the engine through the false firewall and it will take you to the vacuum block. They are usually split at the base.

It's not an illness or madness, call it therapy.
It shouldn't stop.

Keep going, brother!

Therapy it is. Takes my mind off of work for sure.

With my newest of 5 cars being a 2002 it seems to never stop.
Good news from Sun Valley is my transmission is on the way here. Should be delivered Monday, then I can start putting it back together and get this beast back on the road.
