2002 Silver Arrow build thread
Bought in May, with 131,009 miles. Was semi rough.
Installed all new rebuilt top hydraulics from Tophydraclis. Cleaned the rear window also, came out really well, using Plastic X.

Next I installed a Ultra racing rear subframe brace.
Also an aluminum Wiechers strut bar, really helped with the windshield shutter.

Since all the new Supra’s are 5x112 and 66.6. I ordered these, were supposed to ship in November, but now 2022. They are 18x9 and 18x10 hoping to 295s in the rear.
Lowering it with Vogtland 35mm springs.
Also waiting to install adjustable upper camber mounts on the front shocks and I have rear camber arms also.

Didn't your car come with the 2 rear strut braces from the factory? I thought the aftermarket rear brace was for the 6 cylinder cars that supposedly didn't come with the braces.
You are going to swap out the SA rims? If you do, sell them as they are quite rare and desirable.
You have to get the overall tire diameter correct on your new rim and tire combo so that the ABS and cruise control will work.

Yes it did, these are just tied together. I will probably sell them. Yes I know, I have been a Mercedes tech for the last 10 years.

Future mods-
NA 5.4 swap
Cat delete, custom exhaust
211 e63 front calipers and cl55 rear calipers
150% valve body
all black interior
black window moldings
Suede or alcanata headliner in the hard top, and pillars
new soft top
I am sure I will do more, just can’t think of it at this time.

Bro, this car has 143,000 miles, I paid 7k for it. I don’t care how rare it is. It’s getting modified a lot! I took a dump this morning, and it was super rare, but I still flushed it down the toilet!

Do whatever you want with the car.......and your dump! It's your money and your toilet paper. Go for it.

Advans on an R129?! I like your style.
I fitted a Wiechers carbon strut bar, but I had no idea about the Ultra Racing braces. Is there any reason these won't fit a 600? Unless someone can confirm they won't work...I'm ordering em.

Sorry, just saw this. Yes is should fit a 600. They are the same. Your car already has the two braces in the rear, it just tied them together.
Front wheels showed up last week.
thanks!

Test fit, went perfect

Beautiful! What are the offsets? Fitment looks on point. I'm running OEM AMG 2-piece which are 18x8.5 and 18x10, both +25 on 245/40 and 275/35 PS4S. There seems to be a little room to go wider in the rear but fronts will be a tight fit for anything much more aggressive. Perhaps more camber will free up some space, but I don't know how wide the adjustment range is from factory setup.

18x9 25 front and 18x10 32 rear. Will run a 255/40, and 285/35 or a 295/35 still not sure yet.
waiting on this customer to shop up in his w212 e63 m156 car with the factory 18s, they are the same specs on the front wheels, and tire size

Yea, there just seems like a lot of low hanging fruit if one wanted to make a grungy, sporty roadster. IE delete soft top + hydraulics, massive seats, air bags etc... I see these cars pretty cheap all day long that are great candidates for being thrashed, enjoyed and saved from the scrapper.
