I just got mine recently; I got them from ECS tuning. Quality is ok - from 5' away they look perfect. If you look very closely, can find some tiny imperfections in the paint on the face. The polished barrels are flawless. Like any other cheap Chinese garbage cast wheel, they are heavy and prone to bending (but I got mine on sale for ~$350 for all 4 wheels, just as a stop gap til I find a set of real monoblocks, so I don't care about that).

Most importantly: I got the staggered set (17x8 +30 front, 17x9 +30 rear), and the front requires 20mm spacers to clear the brakes. They absolutely will not fit with anything less than 20mm spacers. They sit flush with the wheel arch with those spacers, so I'm good with it, but it's important to plan for that. In order to get the rear aligned with the front and line up with the wheel arch, needed 12mm spacers.

I can post pics if it's important, just let me know. Currently waiting on a set of extended bolts so I can mount the fronts with those spacers.

You do know that staking your life on Chinese knockoff cast rims over genuine forged rims is questionable? Right?

Perhaps... I can't speak for the other guy, but I'm not exactly doing Nurburgring laps; I'm driving to and from the golf course. There's a (way) higher chance of dying in a car accident anytime you're behind the wheel of any car than there is dying of a Chinese wheel failure haha.

Yes, from the guys that fix them at a wheel shop nearby.

Crazy is as crazy does.

The rim choices I've made aren't crazy, but emphasize safety.

Still, one could run rims made out of tin foil if it's their choice, and judged by what I saw at the shop; many do. It's an issue I'd rather avoid.

Run whatever you like.

Or this could happen

Not what one would expect from such an expensive product

The V12 does try to put a little power to the rear wheels when urged.

Forged rims bend, cast rims fracture.

I would be very interested to see pics!

I can surly attest to that statement I have Ronal wheels on my SL600 and SL500 I drive these cars as fast as they will go every chance I get, last thing I need to worry about is a wheel or bolt failure.
Plus may I add choose your bolts wisely stay away from chrome bolts I have a box of broken ones to prove this point.

You mentioned safety...most important! I have seen wheels cracked at the bolt hole, caused by the lug nut or bolt having the wrong pitch(angle). Sometimes it can be the wheel was mounted several times with an impact gun an the wheel material gets smashed and the threads pulled. I threw away set of new Centerline rims that were mounted on my old Javelin because they over tightened the lugs and cracked the rims...it threw it way out balance.
