This SL for sale seems fishy. Thoughts?
From the post - "This is a 280SL 2.8ltr V6 280 HP (German Market) homologated to US standards as 320SL"
I cant find any info online/wikipedia that shows any Naturally Aspirated 2.8L V6's that make 280hp. Not to mention, in the post its clearly a straight 6?
Is this BS?

If you search SL320 in the 61761 ZIP code, you will find it.
Edit: Has been changed to 193HP "V6" - so someone must have called him out.

It pretty nice!
The guy I bought my sl500 from only knew how to drive the car. He had no clue about the engine, trans or how the top worked. He owned for 15 years and took to the dealer for everything, I'm glad he knew that much.

R129 SL55 AMG & W208 CLK55 AMG
Just a piece of information for those that didn't know.
The R129 SL36 AMG is a unicorn.
Only ONE unit was ever built by MB and that was specifically for a Grand Slam tennis tournament prize.
Based on the SL 280 developed AMG in 1995, the SL 36 AMG with 3.6-liter inline six-cylinder engine (M 104 E 36) and 200 kW (272 hp). The vehicle was handed over by Helmut Werner , then CEO of Mercedes-Benz AG, to the winner of the Stuttgart
MercedesCup ( Thomas Muster ). This vehicle is a unique piece.
