Ideal exterior/interior colour combo...
Hi,
This has probably been vented before but i just wondered if i can start up this conversation as I do find it interesting. I was having a conversation with a few friends as to what combination seems classy - and shock horror we all actually agreed - and i wondered what everyone else thought. The scheme we ended up picking was black exterior and cream leather interior...what are other members' thoughts? Does it make a difference if it is an SLK or an SL? Should Mercedes offer other colours - if so which? I would be interested to know people's collective thoughts.
Thanks

Mercedes should offer any color combo that a customer desires.

the sl series is so good looking, i dont think i've seen a combo i don't like. my wife wanted white with stone, and i think that is a "pretty combo". but when the unit came in black with charcoal, i thought it had a "richness" to it that was really impressive.

Ummmm
I have noticed a few say Stone - does that not require a lot of looking after as it seems a light colour and therefore would get dirty very quickly? I must admit i am also not familiar with charcoal?
It must be the difference in the US and the UK as I have just looked in my SL roadster booklet and it doesn't have stone or charcoal - instead it has Sand, delta blue, graphite, black or grey

Black and stone is very classy... my personal fav silver/ash.. its classy and appeals to just about everyone.
Now if I didnt care about difficulty in resale then Id go black/berry.. thats a badass combo.

After reading your initial post ... and without reading the replies ... I'd have to concur that in my 2 1/2 years of looking at SL R230 pictures ... the black with stone interior is the most stunning.
I will definitely be looking at that combination when I upgrade.
Although I am a bit afraid of the up keep necessary for a black car.
After posting this I will see if many people agree.
