Audio Input in Glovebox?!?!
I just read another post and someone mentioned the Aux input in the glovebox. I got off my ***, went out there and it appears that my 03 500 has it.
I had no idea.
Is everyone using this input to hook up the Ipods, etc? And how do you switch to it in the Command system?

I have the Audiovox SMT 5600 from Cingular that plays MP3s... Has anyone piped in their MP3 playing cell phones into this jack by any chance?
I wondering if 1) it would actually play through there, and 2) if I could hear my calls through that same line.
Any thoughts?

Another defeature...the 06 SL600 definitely does not have an audio input of any kind in the glove box.

I had a look in my ML350 2003 and it does not seem to have an aux input. Should it have or was it an option with command at the time?

2003 SL500
In my US-spec 2003 SL500, the input is on the left (inner) wall of the glovebox. To enable input from it, follow CASL55's instuctions earlier in this thread.
And beware that there appear to be fairly severe ground loop hum problems if you plug in an audio device that is powered from the cigarette lighter - run off internal batteries, or use a ground loop isolator (search this forum for more background and part recmmendations)
