Brand spanking new sl500
Yeah, my dad just went to the Mercedes of Greenspoint north and got a black benz.. guess which one.. SL500
lol
its got a lot of stuff already loaded and i am waiting for my father to pick it up. I'm waiting for tomorrow to arrive and thats when we pick it up.
actully what happened we went to the dealership to just inquir (inquiry?) about the S600 and stuff and we ended up purchasing a SL500, my father is sooo happy, lol
i found out there also is NO wait list for the s600 2003, that will be purchased next for sure in a couple months..
this is my families first benz but we have had plenty of benz's in the extended family, one too many to count
i will have to get my dad to take me to best buy and get a camera to share with yall, i am also trying to convince my dad to get new rims instead of the ones that come stock, i am looking into some 19"s or maybe larger, is there a disadvantage to doing that? he said he would get the new rims once we have to replace the tires on the car, does anyone know when that also might happen?
i have a billion quiesitons and soo little time..

what does the "s class my 2002 mean? sorry if its a n00b question..
so the only 2k3 sclass is gonna be a TT 500+ hp v12?
my dad said that right when the 2k3 s600 is out we're getting that.. should replace our 1994 LS400.. lol.. that was a car that lasted, real nice, i hope i'll drive it someday
oh btw in the sl the front tires do tend to get a tad bit warm, not the tires themselves but right on top, the fender i guess is that normal?
When the top is up and we are riding in the 60mphish there seems like there is a air leak and it makes a lot of noise, we shall be going to the MB dealer and getting it checked but i want to know if the board knows whats wrong.

I think I remember a post about a problem with the rear window seal on the r230...you might try a search of the board...and contact your dealer...I know the fenders on my CLK 55 got very hot especially after turning the engine off...they act as heat sinks...either intentionally or by location to disipate heat

To answer your question about the heat above the front tires on the fender, that is normal & nothing to be worried about. I have encountered this question with several of my clients & after quite a few run-ins with the Service Mgr. this is a common trait of the MBZ. Not to worry!!!!!
