I've never had a problem with people posting negative experiences about their cars, but this guy, who apparently had a bad ownership experience with an SL55, did so in such a juvenile and caustic fashion that it's nice to see him (or her) finally out of here.

The information that is available on these forums is a great wealth of knowledge to owners and prospective owners, and while it would have been useful to hear about his problems with his car, and his ownership experience with it in relation to his 997, he chose instead to constantly b!tch and attack other members. He isn't the first or the last person to have a negative experience with an R230, but why not relate your experiences with civility and class? (ie LovinSL600, Tiggerfink, BlueSL, etc.)

The mods are getting stricter, which is a very very good thing, they were too lax.

Some time in September. They work very differently than Mercedes Benz. Actually, MB has a much better tracking system.

They have all their allocation slots and time periods for all their cars but since there are only going to be 120 Portfolios for the USA, I think they are being handled differently.

I was told they are all being produced together in August and then shipped to the USA.

I just cannot believe some of you say anything negative about Pilot20 when he is about as arrogant as some of you. Some of you will get very arrogant when someone says anything negative about the Mercedes brand.

Pilot20 was rude, but some of you are just as bad. This is one of the rudest forums that I have ever been on. I wonder if that is the reason Carlos is not hanging around on here.

He had more then just that.
But it's more then just what we know, he probably had something with the mods. Either way though, it's harsh and rude for us to discuss something behind someones back, especially when that person can't talk back.

I didn't mind him insulting the brand, his car probably WAS a POS, I just didn't care for the way he insulted the forum members.

Some people in that thread considered his comment about the rims to be racist, although I don't think he meant it that way. I'm willing to bet that it wasn't that comment that got him banned, it was probably his tendency to flame and insult the other forum members. If you look through his posts, you'll see what I mean.

I was trying to point out that Pilot20 was not the only person attacking other members. I think this quote is offensive to me. My problems were legit. Unfortunately for me my car was in the shop over 30 days in the first year. Some of us have to realize Mercedes do have a lot of bad dealers and some us have only have 1 dealer in a 200-mile radius.

Maybe its my imagination I have a pond in my trunk after it rains.
