So many SLs in one area.

Wife and I went shopping in Nashville today and we saw over 30 SL R230s. In Memphis, I may see one a month.

Unhappy

Here in Boca Raton FL there is one on almost every corner. Not too many cars get me excited anymore as whatever you can think of may be just around the corner...

2005 SL 500
Don't see too many around here. However, when driving over a bridge near me last Friday, I saw 4 in a 2/5 mile stretch. All different colors.

Well as you know, Mercedes of Nashville is a lot better when it comes to service and treating their customers than Mercedes of Memphis. I should know I have been to both on more than 2 occassions. And although I dont have a Mercedes yet, I am looking for a great deal on a used SL600 (low miles, amg package, keyless go, parktronics, accident/lemon free are a must)(preferably 2005, pano roof, black, blue, or graphite exterior color, any non red interior.) I just dont want to take the 30k+ depreciation hit on a brand new one.

To put things in perspective, when I went to the Memphis dealership (which was 20+ miles from where I was living in Memphis) they wouldnt even take a C55 amg off the floor for me to test drive. When I went to the Nashville dealership (which is 2 miles from where I currently live) they took an '03 sl55 amg off the floor for me to drive and also took a brand new S600 off the floor for me to test drive. They also let me test drive an E55. I loved the SL55's interior and feel on the road, but liked the 600 engine (quieter, more power, quieter exhaust) better. In the end I decided on getting my Cayenne Turbo, but now I want my SL600 too if I can find the right one at the right price.

2005 Red SRT-10 Viper
2004 Black Porsche Cayenne Turbo
2005 Black BMW Z4 (fiance's)
2005 Stealth Gray CTS-V (sold)
2005 Black Infiniti FX45 (sold)

2005 SL65
Rjc...

you said it. but more often than just on every corner in boca and even in lauderdale. valet areas at both martorano and mezzaluna often are like watering holes for super-luxury cars.
walking to an alternate entrance into the building where i am now, i passed an SL65. i'd previously walked by a noble, porsche GT, bentley GT (which usually is parked near my car and my neighbor's CL55), and on and on.
it's really quite remarkable.

I live in Memphis and I purchased all my Mercedes in Nashville. I get treated so much better there. The Nashville dealer let my wife and I test drive a white SL500 for a whole day in 2004. The salesman said take it and shop for a day. I was amazed that the dealer let us have the car the whole day without the salesman around.

My SLK320 is at the Nashville dealer getting its brake pades replace.

Just moved here to the Cool Springs (Franklin) area 3 months ago, best decision I ever made was moving away from Memphis. Everyone's nicer here, the area is nicer, etc. That's really cool they let you test drive the SL500 all day long. I was surprised when they let me and my fiance drive the SL55 by ourselves.
